Economic Recovery--Prepare for Alien Invasion

We don't seem to know how to fix the economic crisis, but economist Paul Krugman thinks aliens might be able to do it--or at least human preparation for an alien invasion could do it. Since we ended the Great Depression with Government spending--and eventually with spending for World War II--preparing to fight off aliens might work this time. On the other hand, we're already fighting TWO wars, and we're as broke as ever.

In the Huffington Post, Greg Rosalsky quotes Krugman as saying, "If you actually look at what took us out of the Great Depression, it was Europe's entry into World War II and the U.S. buildup that began in advance. So if we could get something that could cause the government to say, 'Oh, never mind those budget things; let’s just spend and do a bunch of stuff.' So my fake threat from space aliens is the other route. I’ve been proposing that."

Last year he told CNN about a "Twilight Zone" episode in which "scientists fake an alien threat in order to achieve world peace." He said, "Well, this time, we need it in order to get some fiscal stimulus."

We don't need aliens to fix OUR economic crisis--we already HAVE them, and we have fascinating interviews with TWENTY contactees, just for our subscribers, who tell us about their experiences with Visitors IN THEIR OWN WORDS. Find out what's REALLY going on in the world: Subscribe today!

Well wouldn't that mean that our government would have to admit they've been lying to us for the past 65 years about UFO's and aliens?

No, in fact it's the perfect cover. They could easily say that secrecy has been in place because "the aliens posed a threat to our way of life." which would be true in the sense that our 'way of life' includes inefficient internal combustion engines, debt slavery, passive mind control, disposable culture and a general plutocratic-cryptocracy.

Werner Von Braun, the famous rocket scientist, warned his assistant repeatedly and on his death bed of the plot to use a false-flag alien invasion to garner support for space based weaponry. I'm sure they would at least consider it for maintaining these diseased financial institutions as well.

It seems possible that perpetrating such an attack could have adverse effects for these hidden manipulators and could initiate on open contact on part of the visitors.

Krugman is part of the problem. A highly programed computer thet suffers from "garbage in, garbage out".

Wasn't the 1st great depression caused by people borrowing for a Ford T car and stocks? Wasn't the 2nd great depression caused by people borrowing for houses they really couldn't afford. Whenever excessive debt comes around bad things happens. WWII may have dragged US forward but at a tremendious cost for the soldiers involved. Get real mr Krugman! US citizens are being screwed over by the US government and their masters the Banksters and You want a fake space war? Are You nuts?

Plus, wasn't the reason WWII helped get us out of the Great Depression because it helped spur production from US industry? Isn't most of our manufacturing these days done in other countries?

In case you are not aware of, huge sums of money have recently been granted to research and prepare for bioterrorism (see link below). I work in public health, and although H1N1 turned out to be less of a threat than predicted, it did allow us to see flaws in our system, namely that that all but one company was producing the vaccine outside of the USA. I saw first hand the panic that this caused, as well as some of the most disturbing human behavior in terms of altruism (or lack of it). During the pandemic, there were substantial delays in pushing the vaccine out to the public simply because the flu vaccine manufacturers in Europe tended to make deals with European nations for the vaccine and prioritize their needs. (Which I totally understood). The major suppliers of flu vaccine are GSK, Novartis, and Sanofi Pasteur. GSK is out of the UK, Novartis out of Switzerland, and Sanofi out of France (Sanofi was the only one of the 3 actually manufacturing flu vaccine on U.S. soil during the pandemic.) There is one flu vaccine manufacturer in the U.S., and that is Medimmune. They produce Flumist, an excellent vaccine, but one that is limited in who can receive it, since it is produced with a live virus.

If you are into conspiracies, I guess a case can be made that the pandemic was manufactured for nefarious purposes. H1N1 was dangerous and posed a serious health threat, but it tended to zero in on the very young, pregnant women, and the morbidly obese in terms of mortality rates. Ironically, the demographic affected the least by the pandemic, seniors, were the first ones knocking on our doors demanding flu vaccine and in general giving us a very hard time due to some sense of entitlement. Due to lack of vaccine at the beginning, when Sanofi was cranking up production here, we had to make choices about who got the vaccine first, and it turned out to be little children and pregnant women.

So...a conspiracy to get more manufacturing over here in the U.S.A. or a chance occurrence with a virus that simply made us open our eyes to reality and our own vulnerability to pathogens?

How did someone so stupid as Klugman get such an important job?

To all you out there that bad mouth every idea that comes along (yes, I agree that some of them are 'far out') can you offer a saner one? I mean a real, honest to goodness, fiscally sound plan to get the World out of debt; get US manufacturing back up to speed and create millions of jobs; control the runaway speculation on Wall Street; return the US Public School system to the best in the world; stop the Courts from legislating from the bench (which was a rallying cry from the right for years); insure fair, non-riggable elections; guarantee Health Care as a basic, American Human Right; clean the air and water so they are safe to breath and drink; restore FDA inspections on the food sold to us from unregulated markets; reduce the cost of higher education; rebuild the Middle class; restore the purchasing power of the US dollar; and do all this and more with critics hounding you every step of the way?
Simply, calling names and insulting others isn't going to do anything except feed a self loathing ego.
So... either become part of the solution to these problems or remain a cause of them.
I don't agree with everything Mr. Krugman says but, at least, he is thinking out of the box. And if his plan is adopted, just think of the windfall the insurance industry would gain by selling E.T. Insurance.
It's easy to see bad guys all around us and whine about it... it's another thing entirely to actually say something constructive and, then, follow up on it.
As the old saying goes : "Either Cook or Get-The-Hell Out of the Kitchen."

(Sorry about the double posting... there was a glitch in sending it)

sorry I sometimes get enough of USA. Look to Germany and skandinavia for how thing are done fairly and squarely. Real democracy (8 parties elected into parliament at last election), real free healthcare (yes absolutely free - paid via taxes), real free university education (900$/md salary for attending), high wages (min. 18$/hour) and 40% income tax, 25% tax on all goods, extra tax on cars (100%), sugar etc. NO GMO foods, NO HighFructoseCornSirup in colas, 100% clean ground water (for drinking) and little country debt.

USA don't need a space war, they have already got a 700 trillion (700.000.000.000.000) $ derivative bomb.

America should have a great future, You got low wages, natural resources, lots of cheap energy and a job hungry middleclass. Just take control. Write emails demanding GMO labeling, vote 3rd party, buy american organic and shoot the TV.
I like Michael Moore, he's kinda like a big european guy. Fixing America is totally up to americans, just like I have to deal with underpaid foreign workers, Greek debt, unemployment, expensive car, 9$/gallon car fuel and global warming here in Denmark. Make change. Vote differently.

@ Frek... Thank you for your perspective. I wish more Americans were familiar with the way the rest of the worlds democracies work. We have been brain washed for so long that the younger generation believes that financial unequally, expensive eduction and unaffordable Health care is the norm.
