All nations have secrets. We're worried that both Iran and North Korea may have nuclear weapons, but China or Russia may have something even worse (NOTE: Subscribers can still listen to this show): A high-altitude EMP (electric magnetic pulse) weapon that could destroy our computer data and send us back into the pre-industrial age.
So far, North Korea doesn't appear to have missiles capable of delivering any nukes they may possess, but this may have changed: In Natural News, Mike Adams quotes the Washington Times as saying, "New intelligence indicates that North Korea is moving ahead with building its first road-mobile intercontinental ballistic missile, an easily hidden weapon capable of hitting the United States."
But Adams claims that China or Russia have the REAL doomsday weapon, which either country could launch right now: A high-altitude EMP weapon. He writes: "HEMP weapons are detonated in the high atmosphere, theoretically as high as 300 miles above the ground (well above the orbits of most satellites). Once detonated, the energy released by these weapons interacts with the Earth's magnetic field, producing an extremely fast and powerful electromagnetic burst that rushes to the ground at 94% the speed of light, slamming everything on the ground with as much as 50,000 volts per square meter." This would fry every piece of electronics they touch.
A single HEMP burst would affect the entire United States (minus Hawaii and Alaska), as well as most of Canada and Mexico. Computers, as well as many automobiles, TVs, cell phones, air conditioners, airplanes, radios, military electronics, and satellites would be instantly taken out of service. Such an attack would also take out the backup generators and control electronics for nuclear power plants, meaning that we might detonate OUR OWN "nuclear bombs."
This is all speculation of course, and detonating such a weapon doesn't make sense: China NEEDS the US to remain intact so it our consumers can continue to purchased their low-cost goods, and since the Cold War is now over, Russian no longer considers us an enemy. But it doesn't make us wonder if this is the kind of weapon that WE'RE working on, somewhere deep inside our secret military facilities.
Whew! Let's hope this doesn't come to pass. ANOTHER thing we hope doesn't come to pass is the end of this tough, scrappy website, where we always try to tell you the truth--and the truth is this: If we don't get more support from our readers and listeners SOON, we'll be as dead as a stepped-on bug, and it won't be an EMP that kills us, it will be plain, old-fashioned NEGLECT.
