Can Bigfoot be Real?

A team of scientists can verify that their 5-year long DNA study CONFIRMS the existence of a the hominin hybrid species living in North America that is commonly called "Bigfoot" or "Sasquatch" (NOTE: Subscribers can still listen to this show). Their extensive DNA sequencing suggests that the legendary Sasquatch is a human relative that arose approximately 15,000 years ago as a hybrid cross of modern Homo sapiens with an unknown human species.

The study was conducted by a team of experts in genetics, forensics, imaging and pathology, led by veterinarian Melba S. Ketchum, who says, "Our study has sequenced 20 whole mitochondrial genomes and utilized next generation sequencing to obtain 3 whole nuclear genomes from purported Sasquatch samples. The genome sequencing shows that Sasquatch mtDNA is identical to modern Homo sapiens, but Sasquatch nuDNA is a novel, unknown hominin related to Homo sapiens and other primate species. Our data indicate that the North American Sasquatch is a hybrid species, the result of males of an unknown hominin species crossing with female Homo sapiens.

"Sasquatch nuclear DNA is incredibly novel and not at all what we had expected. While it has human nuclear DNA within its genome, there are also distinctly non-human, non-archaic hominin, and non-ape sequences. We describe it as a mosaic of human and novel non-human sequence."

And here's the most incredible part-- Ketchum says, "Government at all levels must recognize them as an indigenous people and immediately protect their human and Constitutional rights against those who would see in their physical and cultural differences a 'license' to hunt, trap, or kill them."

They're an entirely new species of proto-human being! Whitley Strieber wrote an incredible novel about this type of human, except that THESE hybrids were created by a covert government agency. Subscribers: You have a coupon that gets you this wonderful hardcover for less than $5!

Well, there's only been thousands of sightings spanning centuries, evidence in the forms of print casts, unidentified vocalizations, and unidentified primate hairs - not to mention the rich knowledge base shared by indigenous peoples. Glad to hear people with the proper tools and resources finally decided to take their foot off of the skepticism pedal and do some actual science!

Hey, guys, I'm not doubting the reality of creatures like this, but "Before it's News," the source listed at the bottom of the article, is NOT a legitimate news source. The articles there, while entertaining, are not a good way to get information. ABOUT ANYTHING! There's a reason it's called "Before it's News." And that reason is because real journalists, the one's who talk to real, live sources, realize that this kind of crap is, well ... crap, long BEFORE the embarrassment of seeing it somewhere in print as NEWS.
Many of the story snippets posted on Unknown Country reference good sources at the bottom of the story. But not this time.

I applaud them for saying that they want to go through the regular scientific channels etc... Having said this, as of yet there is only the word of the Ms. Ketchum to go on. Let's see what comes out. The statement about protection for the Bigfoot may be well intentioned but is a bit premature. Maybe they should have waited until the data was out, otherwise it tends to lump the study in with all the other so called Bigfoot earth-shattering proofs that were announced but never materialized.

Still, there is ANOTHER scientific study of Bigfoot that's supposed to come out: the Oxford-Lausanne Collateral Hominid project.
