Are cell phones dangerous?or
not? One
expert says they could kill far more people than either
asbestos or smoking. There is evidence that using them for
10 years or more can double the risk of brain tumors. This
type of cancer takes at least 10 years to develop, which is
why the proof has been slow in coming.
In the March 30 edition of the Independent, Geoffrey Lean
quotes cancer expert Vini Khurana as saying, "There is a
significant and increasing body of evidence for a link between
mobile phone usage and certain brain tumors." He believes
this will be "definitively proven" in the next decade.
