The thousands of people who live near an active volcano on
Indonesia's main
island of Java have been told to prepare to evacuate their
homes. Mount
Merapi, near the central city of Jogjakarta, has begun
spewing molten rock
and ash from its crater.
The volcano last erupted in 1994, when it destroyed a village
and killed 60
people.
Could recent UFO sightings in Indonesia be a signal that the
volcano is becoming dangerously active? It has not been
reported that UFOs were seen
near the crater, as they were in Mexico City recently, when
Popocatepetl
threatened to erupt.
