Mysteries of Science
Google Earth Anomalies
Endless fascination exploring all the anomalies that have
been found and are being found on Google Earth.
Forgotten and Suppressed Inventions
One of the really, really smart ones. Rex Research was
established in 1982 by Robert A. Nelson to archive and
distribute hard-to-find information about unconventional,
suppressed, dormant, and/or emerging technologies,
inventions, theories and therapies that offer real hope of
liberating humanity. And he's done quite a job. You could get
lost in this one...and maybe, at the same time, find gold.
New Frontiers in Science
Dr. Mark Carlotto was one of the pioneers in Mars anomalies
research. This website reports on the leading edge of
science, and is one of the best places to go to find out the
latest about what's happening with Mars and everywhere
along the leading edge of science.
Earthtech
Earthtech is one of the leading research organizations in the
field of zero-point energy research. This involves extracting
energy from the vacuum of space, which would offer us a
limitless source of power for interstellar travel. Dr. Hal Puthoff
of the Institute for Advanced Studies at Austin is involved in
this research. Since his pioneering efforts at the Stanford
Research Institute in remote viewing, Dr. Puthoff has been at
the forefront of scientific discovery.
Satellite Discoveries
It's the job of an organization like Unknowncountry.com to
take a flyer on things that are unproven but interesting and
presented with sincerity. Satellitediscoveries is such a
website. It shows many long, straight lines on the bottom of
the ocean, taken from topographic maps. Also there is
information about the 'Giza face' on the Giza plateau that
may be an undiscovered ruin of some kind. An altogether
interesting place for the informed edge researcher to spend
some time.
Exceptional Human Experiences
Rhea White's Exceptional Human Experiences website gathers
a large database of remarkable human experiences. There are
experiences here that are completely beyond current
knowledge, as well as many right on the edge. A real eye-
opener.
Science Frontiers
This is the site of William Corliss, the world's premiere
collector of scientific anomalies. For years, Dr. Corliss
published a series of loose-leaf books drawing attention to
scientific reports of anomalies from the past. This is a sort
of "Fortean" site, but with a good scientist's careful and
welcome touch.
Journal of the Society for Scientific Exploration
The Journal Society for Scientific Exploration is the
publication of the Society, and one of the world's outstanding
journals of edge science. The journal publishes papers about
genuine scientific mysteries, not bunk and fiction. Anyway,
who needs fiction when hard science is beginning to talk
about things like time travel and quantum teleportation?
Linda Moulton Howe's Earthfiles.com
This is one of the world's best edge science websites.
Compiled and maintained by Dreamland's science reporter
Linda Moulton Howe, it offers in-depth news of many highly
unusual and anomalous science stories. Also transcripts of
many of her on-air interviews. The award-winning site is
carefully managed for credibility. As amazing as some of
these stories are, they are scientifically valid.
Archives of Scientists' Transcendent Experiences
Dr. Charles T. Tart
is the author of many books on the human mind and its
relationship with the transcendent, from a scientist's
viewpoint. Among these are the 1969 classic, Altered States
of Consciousness, and his recent book, Mind Science, the
only practical meditation guide by an established and
respected scientist. Dr. Tart has created this fabulous
archive of scientists' transcendent experiences, which will
offer the explorer rich rewards as these highly disciplined
minds describe their encounters with the mystical and the
ineffable.
National Institute for Discovery Sciences
The National Institute for Discovery Sciences has
consistently been making a serious effort to push scientific
knowledge beyond present frontiers. The website includes a
remarkable animal pathology section that details NIDS work
with mutilated cattle. It's UFO section offers reviews of
important books in the field, and reprints of seminal articles.
An altogether outstanding site.
Society for Scientific Exploration
The Society for Scientific Exploration was founded in 1982 by
a group of highly credentialed scientists interested in serious
exploration of the extreme edge of knowledge. Their journal,
the Journal of Scientific Exploration, has broken new ground
in everything from near-death experiences to new propulsion
technologies to UFO studies. A must for explorers at the real
edge of the known.
Unsolved Mysteries of the Universe
Michio Kaku on time travel, Alan Guth on multiple universes,
Carlos Frenk on the amazing central question of physics:
where is all the matter? (Most of it is missing!) This little
corner of the internet makes for some great reading. Find out
about the real mysteries that excite physicists. They'll excite
you, too--guaranteed.
SciFi Happens
Scifi.com is a major science fiction website that recently
asked the question of its users, yes, but does it actually
HAPPEN? They were sent a lot of video, and most of this
video convinced them that, in fact, it doesn't happen. But
not all. The three pieces of video on this webpage are
absolutely mind-bending. Watch the worst--and strangest--
bug attack ever taped. Be left stunned by what happened to
a man who touched an electrified fence...and, equally
amazing, what didn't.
And then look at one of the most astonishing pieces of UFO
footage ever made. Is this a secret aircraft? Flying a few
hundred feet above Manhattan Island? Not. (But then, what
the heck IS that thing??)
Enterprise Mission
Richard Hoagland's Enterprise Mission is one of the
oldest 'edge science' websites. Many parts of it are still under
construction, but a determined explorer can access most of
Richard Hoagland's material about Mars, the solar system and
the universe.
Ancient Mysteries
Satellite Discoveries
Angela Micol is fascinated with landforms, and she's found
some very strange ones indeed. For example, how to explain
the gigantic triangular patterns found worldwide? This
website offers some unusual and rewarding food for thought.
World Mysteries
A massive compendium of world mysteries, beautifully
illustrated and thoroughly researched, presented with
objectivity and care. This site can reward hours of browsing,
and is an invaluable tool for everyone interested in the
mysteries of the world, from the casual curiosity seeker to
the most serious researcher.
Mythical Ireland
People of Celtic ancestry are by far the largest identifiable
group to have close encounters. Crop circles concentrate in
areas that, thousands of years ago, were important Celtic
and pre-Celtic cultural centers, mostly in Southern England.
However, there is a wealth of hidden Celtic and pre-Celtic
knowledge spread across the Irish countryside as well.
Mythicalireland is just about the best place there is to start
on an exploration of this lore and its related sites.
Atlantis in Bolivia
Jim Allen has been studying the archaeology of the Bolivian
Altiplano for years. His book Atlantis: The Andes Solution
offers the theory that there was a substantial civilization in
Bolivia in ancient times that was structurally close to the
descriptions left by Plato in the Critias and the Timaeus. His
website is the beginning of your journey into the theories of a
fascinating adventurer.
Sangraal.com
Explore the grail legends, the Cross of Hendaye, and sacred
geometry at this fascinating site.
Missouri Mystery Mound
Every so often somebody just starts looking, and that's what
Charles Teague did when he heard about the Missouri
Mystery Mound. Wonderfully informative site, full of excellent
pictures. What HAS he found?
Laurence Gardner
The famed author of Realm of the Ring Lords and other crucial
books about the hidden meaning of human life and the human
past offers an overview of his work and an introduction to
some of the best and most important books about the human
past that have been written.
Maurice Cotterell
Maurice Cotterell is the author of the Mayan Prophecies and
the Tutankamen Prophecy, which was featured on Dreamland
on December 29, 2001. Mr. Cotterell has accomplished some
extraordinary feats of decoding of ancient imagery and text.
This remarkable website covers his work and offers
information about his books.
Those Ancient Egyptian Mummies Full of Cocaine
Some years back, a group of mummies at a museum in Munich
tested positive for cocaine and nicotine. It was soon proved
forensically, that the substances were not contaminants,
that they had been ingested while the people were alive.
Does this mean that the ancient Egyptians were importing
tobacco and cocoa from the Americas? Unless the mummies
are fake, this would appear to be the case. A mystery that
Egyptologists can get into trouble for just talking about.
Zecharia Sitchin
Zecharia Sitchin is one of the great interpreters of ancient
mysteries. Relying on his own translation of Sumerian
cuneiform tablets and a prodigious knowledge of the past, he
has reconstructed the story of mankind's early history in
some of the most iconoclastic and groundbreaking books of
modern times.
The Graham Hancock Homepage
One of the world's premiere ancient mysteries websites. This
large, well organized and beautifully illustrated site offers up-
to-the minute news, active message boards, and don't miss
Santha Faiia's breathtaking photo gallery.
ViewZone
This well designed site offers a wealth of information about
the lost world of the past. It has been clear for some time
that many monuments and ruins are hard to explain using
conventional theories of human origin and the past. Viewzone
offers a window into a number of these mysteries, including
some usually overlooked even by enthusiasts.
William Henry
William Henry is a researcher into ancient mysteries with
special reference to such matters as the hidden meaning of
the Holy Grail and the truth about ancient Egypt. He is the
author of One Foot In Atlantis, a remarkable book about the
occult history of World War II.
The Real Origins of Halloween
Isaac Bonewits has written an essay about the origins of
Halloween that explains some of the realities behind this
ancient festival, and makes a plea on behalf of the Neopagan
movement for tolerance. They have suffered a great deal of
abuse from various extremists in recent years.
The Daily Grail
This ancient mysteries website offers a daily news feature, so
you can get the latest news about new discoveries and
thinking about ancient mysteries from Stonehenge to Egypt
to more esoteric matters such as Rennes le Chateau in
France and practically anything else that concerns ancient
mysteries. The site also offers links to other high-quality
ancient mysteries websites.
Maltadiscovery.com
An ancient temple was discovered off the coast of Malta in
1999. The location of the site suggests that it may be
extremely old, possibly much older than archaeology now
believes that such a structure could be. Joins the sunken
structure off the Japanese island of Yonaguni as one of the
inexplicable mysteries of the past.
Jim Alison's Geodesy Site
This fascinating website takes a look at the alignments of
various ancient sites. Did you know, for example, that the
Great Pyramid, Machu Pichu, the Nazca Lines and Easter
Island are all on a straight line? This website powerfully
suggests the presence of a great mystery about the human
past.
Andrew Collins's Website
Andrew Collins is the author of Gateway to Atlantis and the
master of an information-packed Atlantis website. One of the
few places besides Unknowncountry.com where it's possible
to read about the sunken city found off the coast of Cuba.
Conspiracies
National Security Archives
The national security leak supersite! The National Security
Archive is an independent non-governmental research
institute and library located at The George Washington
University in Washington, D.C. The Archive collects and
publishes declassified documents acquired through the
Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). And it is COMPREHENSIVE!
Surfing the Apocalypse
This conspiracy-oriented news digest is extremely popular
with Unknowncountry.com readers. There's good reason for
this, too: here you can find stories that just do not appear
elsewhere--but not the usual nonsense. These are serious
stories about real issues, and it's sobering indeed that so few
of them make it to the mainstream. Changes daily.
Cyberspace Orbit
What are you going to find here? Everything from the latest
solar storm to who knew what before 911. This highly
individual website is very personal, very unique and very
fascinating.
Mind Control Mega Site
This site, constructed by Allen Barker at the University of
Virginia, is part of the movement of mind control research into
the academic community. This process is a reflection of two
things: the end of the cold war and the realization on the
part of many thoughtful Americans that early mind control
efforts led to many abuses that very much need to be
redressed. The United States cannot make itself whole until it
has faced--and faced down--its own cold war sins.
The Black Vault
John Greenewald is very young, but he has done more
Freedom of Information Act requests for government UFO
documents than almost anybody alive. I featured him and The
Black Vault in a full segment on my NBC special Confirmation
in February of 1999. Since then, his website has grown and
grown. It's full of fascinating government documents. There's
even a radio show and legitimate instructions about how to
videotape a UFO.Terrific, well-run site.
The Flight 800 Website
Retired Navy Commander William S. Donaldson is one of those
Americans who, like Paul Revere, just will not quit. We are
facing a situation where an official whitewash of the probable
destruction of TWA Flight 800 by a missile is about to be
foisted off on the people by the U.S. government, working
through the FBI and the National Transportation Safety
Board, which has abandoned its credibility and independence
in favor of toeing the official line. Commander Donaldson's
website, by contrast, lays out in a logical and intelligent
manner all of the reasons why the FBI investigation of Flight
800 was flawed, why the CIA report on the missile track was
fallacious, and why the NTSB is coming to the wrong
conclusion. This is a very well designed and researched
website, and well worth your careful attention.
The View From Marrs
The often controversial and always entertaining official Jim
Marrs website. Featuring his great weekly column "The View
From Marrs". A comprehensive book section, Musings, and
videos too.
CoastToCoastAm.com
This is the website of Art Bell and Coast-to-Coast AM. Huge,
enormously popular, fascinating and loads of fun. A fiesta for
fans of Art Bell and edge topics. Rich resources at every level.
Paraview
This new website is quickly becoming a leader in the
paranormal area. No longer must paranormal websites be
weirdly designed, badly edited and full of unfounded rumors
and junk science. Truth and real science are far more
incredible, as we reach beyond the edge. The Paraview
website reflects the entry of the paranormal into the
mainstream, as science discovers new realities. It's also loads
of fun, full of fascinating videos from the likes of Richard
Thompson, Graham Hancock and many others.
Crop Circles
Crop Circles Decoded
This is a wonderfully thoughtful website. To understand crop
circles, we're going to have to think out of the box. Right or
wrong, there is some very good thinking of that type going on
in this careful, thoughtful effort.
Swirled News
The Swirled News is the best source of crop circle news. It
offers not only images of the latest circles, but also news,
opinion and humor (much needed in this fractuous field!).
Dreamland's regular crop circle reporter Michael Glickman has
a column on the Swirled News that is always well worth
reading.
Lucy Pringle's Crop Circle Site
One of the most complete crop circle sites. Do not miss the
photo archive.
The Crop Circular
Freddy Silva is one of the most interesting and innovative
crop circle researchers around. His excellent article on the
relationship between crop circles and sound appeared in the
June, 2001 MUFON Journal. His website is not only up to
date, but contains extremely cogent explanations about just
what is unknown about the formations, and what is hoaxed.
Crop Circle Answers
The name of this site makes it sound like hubris is at work,
but it's actually a thoughtful, interesting and well-designed
operation, well worth the attention of anybody exploring the
crop circle phenomenon. It also examines such things
as "orbs" in relation to the circles. Crop Circle Answers has a
lot to offer.
Crop Circle Research.Com
This is the most complete database of crop circle imagery in
existence. You will find virtually every crop circle that has
ever been photographed for public view in this database. It is
divided by year, and offers the student the chance to
observe the way the circles change and evolve over time.
Sister to Freddy Silva's Crop Circular site.
Crop Circle Connector
The granddaddy of crop circle websites. Crop Circle
Connector keeps an excellent record of formations and offers
deep archives. Requires paid membership for archive
researchers.
BLT Research Team
The BLT Research Team has done extensive scientific
research into crop circles. Their papers have been published
in peer-reviewed scientific journals. The work shows
conclusively that unusual energies are being applied to crop
to form the circles. It is ignored by the media and the 'big lie'
propagandists in the crop circle community who advocate the
idea that the circles are all made by hoaxers.
Invisible Circle
The Invisible Circle emphasizes reports from outside the UK,
mostly from Europe. This is an invaluable resource for those
who want to search deep into the unknown country. The
most extraordinary circle of May, 2001, for example, appeared
in an isolated field in Germany, for example. This one was
impossible for the skeptics to refute or the circlemakers to
claim as one of their own.
The Dutch Crop Circle Archive
Holland is also an area where crop circles appear on a
consistent basis, and some of the most extensively witnessed
circle events have taken place here. This site is active and
updated whenever a new Dutch circle appears.
Cryptozoology
Cryptozoology.com
Do your crypto-orienteering here. This Cryptozoology portal
features news, sighting reports, chat, message boards, links
and many, many pictures. A great place to start your
cryptozoological adventure.
Virtual Institute of Cryptozoology
Michel Reynal's Virtual Institute of Cryptozoology is an
international clearing house of cryptozoology, featuring the
latest news and scientific articles about unknown animals.
Bigfoot, Fact or Fantasy
A thorough and level-headed examination of the bigfoot
controversy. Contains shots from the famous Patterson-
Grimlin bigfoot film, as well as the Redwoods video, including
an enhanced clip of the shadowy creature that was taped.
The Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization
The BFRO is a scientific organization devoted to serious study
of the bigfoot evidence. Includes information about how you
can get involved in evidence collection, as well as a
fascinating gallery of scientifically developed reconstructions,
such as the way the creature that left the Skookum
indentations would have looked, and the face of the creature
in the Patterson film.
Bigfoot Sound Recordings
They're selling a CD of bigfoot sounds on this website, but
samples of some of the eeriest calls and cries you will ever
hear are also available for listening.
The Cryptodominion
The Cryptodominion offers a lineup of cryptids. Not all of the
sections are finished, but those that are complete, such as
the section on felids and canids, are very thorough.
Texasbigfoot.com
Bigfoot is all over the place, not just in the Pacific Northwest,
and the active Texas bigfoot research organization offers
events, information, sighting reports and an excellent links
page.
Loren Coleman Cryptozoology Site
Frequent Dreamland guest Loren Coleman, author of
Mysterious America and the recent Mothman, an update of
the Mothman stories that inspired John Keel's
legendary "Mothman Prophecies" and the Richare Gere movie
of the same name.
UFOs and Aliens
The Colectors
This is the website of Corina Saebels, who had, among
others, one of the best-documented close encounter/abduction
experiences ever recorded. Don't miss her extraordinary story.
Abduct-Anon
A website for and about UFO abductees by a man and wife who
were abducted with friends in 1996.
UFO Skeptic
This is no debunking website. Instead, it is the home of a
searching and careful skeptic, Dr. Bernard Haisch, who is
one of the authors of "Inflation-Theory Implications for
Extraterrestrial Visitation," published in the peer-reviewed
scientific press. This paper makes the argument that there
is, based on recent discoveries in physics and astronomy, a
strong case that scientists should begin taking the UFO
situation seriously.
Sonora Sightings
This is the website of Dr. Mark Olson, who not only claims
UFO sightings, he proves his claims with some of the best
UFO video and photos out there. This site is updated
whenever new sightings take place. Well worth your time!
Open Seti
Gerrhy Zeitlin's Open Seti is a breath of fresh air in the
suffocating world of SETI research. Instead of blandly
conventional scientists pursuing an endeavor that can only
succeed by a miracle, Open Seti takes the approach that all
the evidence should be looked at, including the evidence that
somebody could already be here. A refreshing change indeed.
UFO Physics
This is a highly unusual website, with translations of many of
the statements that abductee Betty Andreasson Luca has
made while under hypnosis. It was discovered some time ago
that these statements are not an alien language at all, but
various human languages, some ancient, some obscure, some
both. Also much information and speculation about how UFOs
may operate, based on abductee descriptions. Most
fascinating.
Presidential UFO Files
Presidents, and their libraries, are notoriously reluctant even
to admit an interest in UFOs. This website collects the data
available, and contains some interesting surprises, such as
what happened when the site's creator visited the
Eisenhower Library. An interesting and unusual site.
The Jiin
Misunderstood, ignored, mistold, the stories of the jiin
constitute one of the great bodies of imaginal literature on
this planet.
Or are they more than that, perhaps much more?
This website offers an illuminating, often surprising journey
into an approach to the numinous and the other-worldly that
is entirely ignored in the west.
Don't miss this one.
Pine Bush UFO Website
Pine Bush, NY, has been a UFO hotspot for years. It is about
40 miles south of where Whitley Strieber lived when he had
his close encounter experiences. This website not only tells
the story very well, it shows you how to get to Pine Bush and
where to go to look for UFOs. Well designed and useful, with
a chat room.
The Solomon Giants
Get ready to read one of the most astonishing UFO stories in
all the literature. And, if you care to, consider contributing to
the efforts of Marius Boirayon to publicize the situation and
study it.
National UFO Reporting Center
This is where to go to find out what sightings are being
reported. Its run by Peter Davenport, with a responsible and
competent staff. You can use the site to find out where
clusters of sightings are taking place. Since UFOs tend to
appear in clusters over successive days, it might be time to
go out with the old video camera when one is taking place in
your area.
Dr Bruce Macabee's Website
Dr. Bruce Macabee would be shocked to learn that he's
becoming one of the grand old men of UFO research. But he's
also one of the best there is, and his website offers a
sampling of his impeccable research and expert analysis. Rate
this one a 10 for credibility.
UFO Conspiracy
This site is dedicated to the farthest edge of conspiracy and
alien abduction. However, it is generally careful to keep an
open mind about the validity of what it publishes. It offers
rich grounds for speculation and wonder.
The French View of UFOs, Crop Circles, Flight 800, etc.
This fascinating and well-documented site, in English and
French, is actually the content of a book published only in
French that covers alternative ideas about UFOs, Crop
Circles, Flight 800 and many other subjects. Basically, the
thesis is that the military are responsible for it all. But before
you dismiss this, take a look. Fascinating food for thought.
S.P.A.C.E. Group
The SPACE group report shared close encounter experiences,
most of them in an area of upstate New York near the cabin
where Whitley Strieber had his own strange experiences in
the mid eighties.
UFO Skeptic
Bernard Haisch has created one of the most important UFO-
related sites on the internet. This is a very solid effort by an
established scientist to provide other scientists with a basis
for serious exploration of this topic. It has become clear, in
recent years, that knee-jerk dismissal of the phenomenon is
unscientific, because hard, physical evidence abounds. But
what does that evidence mean? Science is just beginning this
journey, and this website is at the forefront.
UFO/Alien Images from the Past
Matthew Hurley has compiled one of the most interesting UFO
sites on the internet. It seems that artists have been
depicting disks in the skies and apparent aliens for thousands
of years. Cave engravings in France show flying disks, and a
Native American pictogram of two disks with occupants
comes with a story that the disks collided and were repaired
in Death Valley while Indians watched! "The Madonna with
Saint Giovannino", painted in the 15th century by Domenico
Ghirlandaio (1449-1494) hangs as part of the Loeser
collection in the Palazzo Vecchio. Above Mary's right shoulder
is a disk shaped object. Be sure to click on the "BC" section
of the site to see the really old depictions.
Astronaut UFO Sightings
Stories of astronauts seeing UFOs are the stuff of urban
legend. However, some of them are quite true, and a number
of our nation's most famous astronauts are on record about
their own personal UFO experiences. This website assembles
photo evidence and astronaut statements about UFOs.
However, some of the material here, most notably the
material about Neil Armstrong saying that there is an alien
base on the moon, is highly controversial. Nevertheless, most
of what is presented here is straightforward and adequately
documented.
UFO Watchdog
UFO Watchdog exposes alleged frauds within the UFO world,
and does a darn good job at this very difficult task. Our one
argument with UFO Watchdog is that it criticizes Art Bell for
what he does best, which is to allow just about anybody with
an interesting claim on the air, and then let his listeners
decide. This approach means that frauds may get airtime. But
it also means that people who are telling rejected truths get
a hearing.
Alien UFO Art
This is the website of Bill and Lori McDonald. It's the online
headquarters of two very interesting people, both loaded with
talent. The site showcases their jewelry and artwork, and
makes all kinds of interesting connections down the byways
of their extensive UFO, alien and ghost research. Bill's
visualizations of UFOs are based on careful analysis of
documents and sighting reports.
Reaching for Reality
Psychologist Contance Clear is a personal friend who runs
support groups for abductees and has published a book about
their experiences.
Space & Astronomy
Journal of the Society for Scientific Exploration
The Journal Society for Scientific Exploration is the
publication of the Society, and one of the world's outstanding
journals of edge science. The journal publishes papers about
genuine scientific mysteries, not bunk and fiction. Anyway,
who needs fiction when hard science is beginning to talk
about things like time travel and quantum teleportation?
Open SETI
Why doesn't SETI work? The entire universe is observing
radio silence? We don't think so. Maybe they don't use radio
because it's too primitive. Open SETI is where to go if you're
interested in a SETI reality check.
SPACE Weather
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
publishes a daily space weather forecast that predicts solar
activity. Given that the sun is in an active period, it's worth
checking here frequently.
Space Ref
This website keeps track of what's relly happening at NASA.
It's content is not UFO related, but it's independent of NASA
and the government, and therefore tells it like it is. A wealth
of fascinating, reliable and accurate information about the US
space effort.
Bad Astronomy.com
Bad Astronomy.com is devoted to finding and correcting
mistakes about astonomy that appear on the media. And
there are loads of them--basic mistakes. Like the idea that
we didn't land on the moon, the subject of a February 15,
2001 documentary on Fox Televsion. This and many other
absurd ideas and hoaxes are demolished on Bad
Astronomy.com
The Vatican Observatory
This is the official website of the Vatican Observatory. It is
part of the Catholic Church's long tradition of interest in the
sciences, an interest that has grown out of their initial
rejection of the discoveries of Galileo. They have apologized
for this mistake, and this observatory is testament to the
sincerity of that apology. Or is there more to this? What the
Vatican actually knows about the universe around us, and its
true motives for creating an observatory in Arizona, have
been matters of conjecture for years.
The Astronomy Cafe
The Astronomy Cafe is a fun site for science-crazy kids, the
astronomically challenged, and anybody interested in getting
a start on the stars. Astronomer Dr. Sten Odenwald answers
your questions and offers all sorts of advice about cosmology
and astronomy. Want to know what a magnetic pole shift
really means? Or when it's actually likely to happen? Dr. Sten
has the down to earth answers.
Environment
Environmental News Network
ENN is the CNN of the environment. This service offers all the
latest news, plus in-depth coverage of crucial stories and a
wealth of other information. The ENN marketplace offers a
comprehensive listing of environmentally safe and organic
products.
Friends of the Earth International
Friends of the Earth is the world's largest group of
environmental organizations. Go here to learn the latest
environmental news and to learn about FOE's many
campaigns to make our world a better place to live.
Friends of the Earth U.S.
Concentrates on US issues and environmental news. Offers
a 'Friends of the Earth Action' button that enables you to get
involved, and an excellent pull-down list of issues that will
enable you to quickly update yourself on many different
crucial environmental issues.
Sudden Climate Change During the Quartrenary
Sudden climate change is an accepted scientific fact and a
very real danger, despite what you may hear in the media.
This website is pure science, but it will inform you about the
fact that this has happened in the past. Can it happen again?
Keep up with this website's
Superstorm Quickwatch to find out.
Whitley Strieber & Art Bell
BeyondCommunion.com
This is the unofficial Whitley Strieber website. It offers a
comprehensive listing of Whitley's books, an active chatroom,
many of the most famous Whitley Strieber interviews and
talks, and up to the minute news of his activities. It is an
independent and unofficial effort.
CoastToCoastAm.com
This is the website of Art Bell and Coast-to-Coast AM. Huge,
enormously popular, fascinating and loads of fun. A fiesta for
fans of Art Bell and edge topics. Rich resources at every level.
Fantasticforum
The ultimate website for active fans of the edge. The open-
minded, unafraid approach of people like Art Bell and Whitley
Strieber is featured with forums, news and the very latest
about Coast-to-Coast, Dreamland, Art Bell, Whitley Strieber
and other exponents of freedom, open-mindedness and weird
and wonderful information.
Ghosts and Afterlife
Spring Heeled Jack
Spring Heeled Jack was one of the strangest apparitions of all
time. What's even more weird, is that this entity has a
strange connection to popular Dreamland guest William Henry-
-Spring Heeled Jack was last seen in 1904 in England--on
William Henry Street. This site offers a good history of Spring
Heeled Jack, who haunted England for nearly 70 years.
World ITC
For most of us, spirit communication is pretty iffy at best. But
Mark Macy and the World ITC group have developed it to an
electronic art. This site explains what they do and how you
can do it, too? Does electronic spirit communication work?
You can find out for yourself using equipment you probably
have in your home. Fascinating site.
International Ghost Hunters Society
Our October 10, 1999 ghost program on Dreamland generated
loads of responses. Those interested in further information
about ghost hunting can go to this site.
Afterlife 101
The author of this website created it after his wife died of
cancer and he realized that there was no central
