Images of the Unexplained

This growing video collection contains the best documented evidence
of the unexplained, from the attempted removal of an alien implant
to unknown objects in NASA's own shuttle mission videos.

NASA Mission STS 37
This video was taken from the Space Shuttle during
NASA Mission STS 37
and was provided to Whitley Strieber by Jaime Maussan
and Mexico's Third Millenium program. The mission was flown April 5th to 9th, 1991, and launched the Compton Gamma Ray
Observatory. The astronauts were Steven Nagel, Kenneth Cameron, Jerry Ross, Jay Apt and Linda Goodwin.
This is one of the clearest videos of an unexplained object ever made from the Space Shuttle. It's hard
to tell from this clip, but the object has a very definite motion and appears controlled. It moves
quickly to the nearby proximity of the shuttle and stops. NASA has offered no explanation for this motion,
but describes the object as a piece of "space debris".
NASA's own mission log
makes no mention of the unusual video.

NASA Mission STS 48
A Dreamland listener discovered this ultra high strangeness video on the Earthstation1 site, which is a
compendium of extraordinary sounds and images (and well worth exploring). This image is from
NASA Mission STS-48,
and would, I suppose, be classified by NASA as "ice particles". However, it is clearly a
triangular-shaped object moving at high speed. Why NASA consistently refuses to admit the existence of
unknowns in shuttle footage is itself the greatest of these unknowns. It represents a profound failure, and
not just by NASA. The failure of the authorities to acknowledge and study the UFO phenomenon as a
legitimate unknown when its reality is so obvious is terrifying. Why must they hide this? What compels
them?

NASA Mission STS 80

Three
These clips are from the legendary
NASA Mission STS 80
video taken from the shuttle on December 6, 1996, one day
after the mission was officially scheduled to end. The mission was delayed in orbit due to bad weather on
the ground, and was at the time the longest shuttle mission ever flown. It went into orbit on November 19,
1996. The astronauts aboard were Kenneth Cockrell, Kent Rominger, Tamara Jernigan, Thomas Jones and Story
Musgrave. None of them have commented on the video. When NASA was asked to comment on it for the NBC
special Confirmation that aired in February of 1999, they did not do so, except to say that nothing in it
appeared to be a UFO. They offered no explanation for the objects observed.
This video represents the most extensive sequence of unknown objects ever filmed by a professional crew,
and in a normal society would be sufficient evidence to spark an extensive scientific investigation of the
unexplained phenomena observed. That there has been no such effort speaks volumes about how much must be
known about this material behind the scenes.
Clip One
In the first clip, the strange material on the ground is actually Sao Paolo, Brazil. This odd appearance is
caused by the effect of the city
's bright lights on the very wide open lens aperture of the camera, which is attempting to record in deep
darkness. It is not visible in this short clip, but the unknown operator of the camera spends some time
positioning the instrument before the object comes out of the city. Obviously, the object was expected to
appear by whoever was ordering the camera movements. What the object is remains unknown. It was huge and
moving very fast and appears to be surrounded by some sort of field. This is all that can be said about it.
Clip Two
The mission then proceeds over the Brazilian rain forest, which is covered by an extensive area of
thunderstorms. In the next clip, an object is seen drifting above the storms and acquiring a plasma of some
sort around it. The object is above the atmosphere, and probably at least fifty miles above the storms.
Other objects appear to emerge from the storm clouds, while yet more dart back and forth, some appearing
like meteors, but not in ballistic trajectories.
Clip Three
The final clip shows an object moving slowly along with lights pulsating on both sides. It is easy to see
that this is no rotating ice particle. The object is not moving in an orbital path, which means that it is
under control. What it is remains unknown.
NASA's own mission log
makes no mention of the unusual video.

Attempted Implant Removal From Whitley Strieber
This clip shows Dr. John Lerma attempting to remove an object from the pina of Whitley Strieber's left ear in October of
1998. The object came into his ear in May of 1994. Strieber describes the circumstances, and the result
of the procedure:
We were asleep in our cabin in upstate New York. It was warm and the windows were open. The bedroom windows
overlooked the back yard on one side and the driveway on the other. I was awakened by the sound of gravel
crunching in the driveway. When I sat up, I observed a woman standing in the doorway to the bedroom, which
was at the foot of the bed. Behind her was a large man with a beard. Behind them there appeared to be
somebody else, I could not see who, but the strange, gliding motion was very unusual.
Before I could so much as cry out, they had incapacitated me. They pressed for a time on my left ear. A few
moments later, there was a tremendous flash and the sound of somebody crashing frantically off through the
woods.
The next day, my ear hurt. I noted a hard swelling in the pina. Subsequently, there were a number of
episodes of a strange sound in the ear, accompanied by redness and heat. Both the heat and the redness were
easily observable, and were observed by scientist William Mallow, among others.
When Dr. Lerma opened an incision to reach the object, which had been diagnosed as a cyst, he observed it
to be a white disk. When he touched it with the scalpel, in moved under its own power to another part of my
earlobe. He then closed the incision, because this was not an expected result. A small part of the object
had been nicked off, and it was sent to a lab for study. It was found to contain microscopic crystals,
perhaps of calcium carbonate. Its surface was distressed, and had the appearance to one biologist of
tentacles. It was composed of collagen.
A week after the incision was closed, the object returned to its former position in my ear, where it
remains to this day. On rare occasions, it will still "turn on." I have not been able to notice any change
in my mental or physical functioning when this happens, but I try all the time to somehow detect what it
does or to make it work on my own, but so far without results.

Robertsdale, Alabama Sighting
In February of 1998, a UFO showed up while Whitley was on the beach at Gulf Breeze working on an article
intended for Life Magazine. The article was cancelled (of course) but a UFO showed up during the photo
shoot of some of the Gulf Breeze Witnesses!
Subsequently, there have been over three hundred UFO sightings in Florida, many of them daylight disks.
A simlilar sighting, shown here, took place on February 7 in Robertsdale, Alabama.
