the Indigo children

The Indigo Children, by Lee Carrol and Jan Tober, is the classic book about the New Children, how to cope with them, how to understand them, above all, how to make life with your brilliant, hyperactive Indigo a loving, joyous and fun experience for all! You can order it here, or by calling 1-800-898-0284.

A Great Website for Kids
NASA's Thursday's Classroom seeks to establish a permanent link between the classroom and NASA's latest research. Each Thursday, kids who have signed up get a project E-mailed to them. The projects are fun, and always offer an excellent insight into astronomy and space science.

Resources for Parents
For additional materials and resources about Indigo children, visit the Lee Carrol and Jan Tober's website.

Parents want to find the best possible schooling environment for their brilliant but difficult child. Montessori schools, Steiner schools and Waldorf schools all offer excellent programs, and so do many public and private schools. But in areas where there there is a lack of alternatives, home schooling might be the answer. One of the best programs for the home schooling of bright children is offered by The Oakmeadow School.

Ritalin is a controversial drug that quiets hyperactive children. It has been a godsend for some, but many parents of Indigos are concerned that it dims the wonderful spark that makes their kids so exciting. There is even a substantial amount of evidence that attention deficit is not a disorder at all, but a response to an environment that the child finds boring. To explore the idea that ADHD is actually normal behavior, and that it is the child's environment that is the culprit, not the child's brain, visit Dr. Fred Baughman's website.
