Large Hadron Collider
The Large Hadron Collider at CERN in Switzerland has been
repaired and is now running. So, what does that mean. There
have been fears that it could generate a black hole that
would consume the earth. Others have theorized that it is
being sabotaged by physicists from the future.
Does any of this make any sense? Should we be afraid--or
excited that physicists may confirm the existence of the
legendary Higgs Boson, the particle that is believed to weld
everything in the universe together, the so-called "God
particle?"
Listen as Linda Moulton Howe interviews Dr. Stephen Goldfarb
who is the muon expert on the ATLAS experiment at the
Collider. He gives clear explanations of exactly what the
Collider is and is not doing, what the Higgs Boson is, and
why we should be so excited about the Collider and what we
may be about to learn from its operations.

Two weeks ago, Whitley Strieber returned to his old cabin in
upstate New York for the first time in fourteen years. When
he lost the cabin, just at the height of his contact
experiences, he vowed never to return.
But one of his oldest friends, photographer and
documentarian (the Black List) Timothy Greenfield-Sanders,
is making a film about him, and wanted him to go back and
revisit the place.
The result is this riveting, heart-rending description of
what it was like for him that includes some new material
about his encounters, including, for the first time, a
detailed account of why he initially thought his close
encounters had been an attack by intelligence agents--and
how he discovered that this was not the case.
Beautiful, passionate, amazing: this is Whitley Strieber at
his very best.
