Starting way back in the early 1980s, when I had my first cassette deck (recorder/player) added to my stereo system, I began to do tapes of what are now referred to as "playlists", only with a "theme". It first began when I was creating a tape to be played at my (second) wedding reception. That marriage, much like my first, was "doomed from the start", unfortunately. 12 years later, I made my second "theme" cassette. I used quite a few of the same songs as on the above tape, with some more current (at the time) ones added. I made it based on being inspired by the flush of love/lust at being re-united with an old love (but not an ex-husband!)..... I called it, succinctly, "Love Songs". As in the previous one done for my wedding, and in subsequent ones (described later), I spent HOURS AND HOURS selecting the songs and the song order, and making the recordings, which were mostly made from recording tracks from LPs. Thank you, Mama. You get me, pretty much, I think! I know I have probably posted most, if not all of those songs before, but I don't think I have ever told about making my "theme" tapes. (Have I?) Anyway, I might, or might not, post the songs from the two other ones I made following the "Love Songs" tape, all made within a 2 year period. The other two are called "Love on the Rocks" and "Love Gone Bad". Of course, I have posted many songs that I used on those, as well, but probably not all of them. Tee Hee I once played a Music video in here for Chess . it featured my Nieces they won it from a Radio Station..They were called Pink Thunder.. The Band has since dismembered.. LOL they are now in University.. Anyway we have a Music Festival up here that has Groups from all over the world.. also Indie groups.. Barb is playing guitar for a girl singer.. I can't find anything to post.. they flew up yesterday played 3 songs and will perform 3 songs today then fly back to Nova Scotia Sunday..What a Buzz since she is also a science and math major at the age of 19 Auntie XO U Barb great performance last night | ||
