Mama Shine, back in the day, We used to head into the City every weekend and go to either Avalon Ballroom or Filmore Auditoium, depending on what venue had the best line up that weekend. One of the Two bands that were a MUST SEE because of their live shows were, The Sons of Champlin, and The Steve Miller Band. This was during the time that Boz Skaggs was a member of Steve's band. Just great live performances, full of Texas Blues and one high point after another. I was a little disappointed when their first album came out (Children of the Future) because some of the songs drifted far away from the tunes they played at their lives shows.
