moonbeam, I am embarrassed to admit that I had not heard "Grey Street". I have been out of the loop with Dave, even as much as I LOVE his style, and his looks, and also his speaking voice! I did know a couple of the songs from that album, just from radio airplay, as well as "Music Choice" play...... Anyway, thanks for posting "Grey Street". I guess you must have known that I would identify STRONGLY with that song.  I didn't mean to imply that "I" was the only (or even the primary) reason you posted that song. As I look back at the way I worded my post about identifying it, I can see how it sounded as though I was under some delusion that you "only" posted it for me. That post is one example of why I very rarely just"fire off" a post without re-reading and rewording it several times. SW, I like the Pretenders, but Radioheads original is the best to me. I always sing this song at Karaoke and they always have the lyrics wrong. Even when I recorded a version of this, which I have posted, I sing "She's running out the door" instead of "again". In the karaoke version it also says "I'm a creep, I'm a widow". Paul.... First of all, would you do me a favor and post another link here for your version of "Creep"? I want to listen to it with "new ears", so to speak. I have to admit that I DO like Radiohead's version. I have been struggling (?) with some strange sort-of ?resistance? to Radiohead. I have tried many times to listen to their music and watch their performances on youtube, and so far, most of their stuff bores me. Perhaps, like has happened with other artists I initially "didn't like", I am beginning to appreciate Radiohead more. Secondly, your link to Lo Pro was a duplicate of the Paul Simon link. But...no problemo. VERY perfect and appropriate simon tune for the way I am feeling. Thank you for that contribution! WOW! As for Lo Pro, I pulled up their stuff on youtube, and am now on a mission to listen to MUCH MORE of their stuff. I was not familiar with them, but I LOVE them! They do sound very similar to several other groups out there right now.....but I still like their sound a LOT. I really like the lead singer's voice, and the harmonies, and ESPECIALLY the lyrics. WOW. I find a hell of a lot to identify with there! Thank you for pointing me in their direction!! "The Piano" is one of my all-time favorite movies! It is a masterpiece. Second wind, YW. I must get "The Piano" soon. Yes, Lo Pro is great. They are a rock band made up of already established players and yeah, the lead singer is great. A very good rock song from them is "Sunday" I'll post it. I just don't know how heavy people like their music. I like it very mellow to very, very heavy, despite my age. Allen, I sincerely apologize!!!! I can clearly see the difference between you and Alen, the attention needing, cryptic, blurb spewer. I actually feel sorry for the poor guy. I really feel sorry for his children. I think that maybe there's help for him and if he was to get back on his meds, things wouldn't be that bad. There is help out there, you just have to want it. As little as he is capable of writing, he clearly comes across as lacking self worth and is very needy and I'm not kidding when I say get some help. Alen, I say this with all honesty! I hope you get the help you need! Your cry for help is so obvious. I think instead of venting here, you should see someone who could actually help you. I'm not kidding. Since we're on the subject, I was thinking about Clarence today when I was telling Buddie about a restaurant around the corner from me that Katrina completely destroyed. I struck up a friendship kinda with him . He lived in a camp off highway 11, not far from me . We would both go to Winn-Dixie for groceries late....I hated crowds and he would stop in late himself. He would tease tease me about my classical piano playing and promised to come over for a lesson on Chopin. Unfortunately he never made it. "His home in Slidell, Louisiana was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina in 2005, and he was evacuated to his childhood home town of Orange, Texas, where he died on September 10 at the apartment of a niece, at the age of 81." He died on my son's birthday...I was holed up in Tenn.
