And now for something totally strange. Here is "Weird Al" Yankovic's tribute to Bob Dylan. Please notice that every line is a palindrome. Bob by Al Yankovic I, man, am regal - a German am I Never odd or even If I had a hi-fi Madam, I'm Adam Too hot to hoot No lemons, no melon Too bad I hid a boot Lisa Bonet ate no basil Warsaw was raw Was it a car or a cat I saw? Rise to vote, sir Do geese see God? "Do nine men interpret?" "Nine men," I nod Rats live on no evil star Won't lovers revolt now? Race fast, safe car Pa's a sap Ma is as selfless as I am May a moody baby doom a yam? Ah, Satan sees Natasha No devil lived on Lonely Tylenol Not a banana baton No "x" in "Nixon" O, stone, be not so O Geronimo, no minor ego "Naomi," I moan "A Toyota's a Toyota" A dog, a panic in a pagoda Oh no! Don Ho! Nurse, I spy gypsies - run! Senile felines Now I see bees I won UFO tofu We panic in a pew Oozy rat in a sanitary zoo God! A red nugget! A fat egg under a dog! Go hang a salami, I'm a lasagna hog Watch the video here. |

Yep, I think so too. Here's one of my favorite songs from Blues Traveler, featuring the kick-butt harmonica playing of John Popper. Blues Traveler - Hook Lyrics It doesn't matter what I say So long as I sing with inflection That makes you feel I'll convey Some inner truth or vast reflection But I've said nothing so far And I can keep it up for as long as it takes And it don't matter who you are If I'm doing my job then it's your resolve that breaks Because the hook brings you back I ain't tellin' you no lie The hook brings you back On that you can rely There is something amiss I am being insincere In fact I don't mean any of this Still my confession draws you near To confuse the issue I refer To familiar heroes from long ago No matter how much Peter loved her What made the Pan refuse to grow Was that the hook brings you back I ain't tellin' you no lie The hook brings you back On that you can rely Suck it in suck it in suck it in If you're Rin Tin Tin or Anne Boleyn Make a desperate move or else you'll win And then begin To see What you're doing to me this MTV is not for free It's so PC it's killing me So desperately I sing to thee Of love Sure but also rage and hate and pain and fear of self And I can't keep these feeling on the shelf I've tried well no in fact I lied Could be financial suicide but I've got too much pride inside To hide or slide I'll do as I'll decide and let it ride till until I've died And only then shall I abide by this tide Of catchy little tunes Of hip three minute ditties I wanna bust all your ballons I wanna burn of all your cities to the ground But I've found I will not mess around Unless I play then hey I will go on all day Hear what I say I have a prayer to pray That's really all this was And when I'm feeling stuck and need a buck I don't rely on luck because Because the hook brings you back I ain't tellin' you no lie The hook brings you back On that you can rely You can watch this one here. |

haha that's hilarious miaree, i used to be sort-of obsessed with that song at a period in my life...for some reasons it seemed to have a profound message that was belied by it's tongue-in-cheek inference...it was one of those songs that i listened to, and then tried to explain the "message" to people who would then say "hmm i think you read too much into it". anyway me and my friend by the same name used to sing it together, especially the really fast part near the end which I imagine we could still perform flawlessly. http://www.myspace.com/fortwynt I love to add new friends!

Jan lays down and wrestles in her sleep Moonlight spills on comic books And superstars in magazines An old friend calls and tells us where to meet Her plane takes off from Baltimore And touches down on Bourbon Street We sit outside and argue all night long About a god we've never seen But never fails to side with me Sunday comes and all the papers say Ma Teresa's joined the mob And happy with her full time job Do do do do doo do Am I alive or thoughts that drift away? Does summer come for everyone? Can humans do as prophets say? And if I die before I learn to speak Can money pay for all the days I lived awake But half asleep? Do do do do doo do (2 times) A life is time, they teach us growing up The seconds ticking killed us all A million years before the fall You ride the waves and don't ask where they go You swim like lions through the crest And bathe yourself on zebra flesh I've been downhearted baby, I've been downhearted baby, Ever since the day we met "Standing Outside a Broken Phonebooth with Money in My Hand"---Primitive Radio Gods http://www.myspace.com/fortwynt I love to add new friends!

OK, I didn't know until today, that this song was written by Carole King/Gerry Goffin. Anyway, instead of posting a lame Monkees video, I found the one below. It's amazing how the video for one song, goes perfectly with music and lyrics of another! Pleasant Valley Sunday The local rock group down the street Is trying hard to learn their song They seranade the weekend squire who just came out to mow his lawn Another Pleasant Valley Sunday Charcoal burning everywhere Rows of houses that are all the same And no one seems to care See Mrs. gray she's proud today because her roses are in bloom Mr. green he's so serene he's got a TV in every room Another Pleasant Valley Sunday Here in status symbol land Mothers complain about how hard life is And the kids just don't understand Creature comfort goals They only numb my soul and make it hard for me to see My thoughts all seem to stray to places far away I need a change of scenery Ta ta ta... Another pleasant valley sunday Charcoal burning everywhere Another pleasant valley sunday Here in status symbol land Another pleasant valley sunday... "In the end, only kindness matters."

I will be watching his videos! Like this one a lot: Truck Got Stuck He is very tongue-in-cheek! He reminds me a lot of Arlo Guthrie! "In the end, only kindness matters."

NICK CAVE & THE BAD SEEDS LYRICS "People Ain't No Good" People just ain't no good I think that's welll understood You can see it everywhere you look People just ain't no good We were married under cherry trees Under blossom we made pour vows All the blossoms come sailing down Through the streets and through the playgrounds The sun would stream on the sheets Awoken by the morning bird We'd buy the Sunday newspapers And never read a single word People they ain't no good People they ain't no good People they ain't no good Seasons came, Seasons went The winter stripped the blossoms bare A different tree now lines the streets Shaking its fists in the air The winter slammed us like a fist The windows rattling in the gales To which she drew the curtains Made out of her wedding veils People they ain't no good People they ain't no good People they ain't no good at all To our love send a dozen white lilies To our love send a coffin of wood To our love let aal the pink-eyed pigeons coo That people they just ain't no good To our love send back all the letters To our love a valentine of blood To our love let all the jilted lovers cry That people they just ain't no good It ain't that in their hearts they're bad They can comfort you, some even try They nurse you when you're ill of health They bury you when you go and die It ain't that in their hearts they're bad They'd stick by you if they could But that's just bullsh*t People just ain't no good People they ain't no good People they ain't no good People they ain't no good People they ain't no good at all Listen. |

Thankie.. Do you know Chris wrote Fix You for Gweneth after her Dad died ? How sweet is that I watched the video and I think it's filmed in the tunnel where Princes Dianna crashed.. They live in London so Paris is next door.. I remember watching sooo much footage about the car crash.. That would be a bonus.. The LIGHT will GUIDE you HOME |

And yes, those two are also my favorites of their songs, buddie! I was a little slow to warm up to them, but now....well, I just love them to pieces!!! Hugs, everybody! Everybody's talking and no one says a word Everybody's making love and no one really cares There's nazis in the bathroom just below the stairs. Always something happening and nothing going on There's always something happening cooking and nothing in the pot They're starving back in China so finish what you got. They're starving back in China so finish what you got. Nobody told me there'd be days like these Nobody told me there'd be days like these Nobody told me there'd be days like these Strange days indeed strange days indeed. Everybody's runnin' and no one makes a move Everyone's a winner and no one seems to lose. There's a little yellow idol to the north of Katmandu. Everybody's flying and no one leaves the ground Everybody's crying and no one makes a sound. There's a place for us in movies you just gotta stay around. Nobody told me there'd be days like these Nobody told me there'd be days like these Nobody told me there'd be days like these Strange days indeed most peculiar Mama. Everybody's smoking and no one's getting high Everybody's flying and never touch the sky There's Ufo's over New York and I ain't too surprised. Nobody told me there'd be days like these Nobody told me there'd be days like these Nobody told me there'd be days like these Strange days indeed most peculiar. if i told you he was your brother you'd reminisce then you would go about your day if said you oughta give him some of your water you'd shake your canteen and walk away and the perception that divides you from him, is a lie for some reason you never asked why this is not a black white world you can't afford to believe in your side this is not a black and white world to be alive i say the colors must swirl and i believe that maybe today we will all get to appreciate the beauty of grey if i told you she was your mother would you analyze the situation and be gone? if i said you oughta give her some of your water your eyes would light up like the dawn and the perception that divides you from her, is a lie for some reason we never asked why this is not a black white world you can't afford to believe in your side this is not a black and white world to be alive i say the colors must swirl and i believe that maybe today we will all get to appreciate the beauty of grey -The Beauty of Grey LIVE

Welcome to Atmospheres, the program for songs and music videos that speak to the way we are feeling here at UC. I'm your host for tonight, Second Wind. The inspirations for the songs I have chosen are, of course, primarily my thoughts and emotions of Saturday However, these thoughts were primarily influenced by the general atmosphere here at UC, relative to our varied experiences in common, as well as the current "expectant", shall we say, vibe here of late. It is my hope that you will enjoy the songs I have selected for you all tonight. I'm starting the program off by acknowledging the intense feelings expressed by some of you, that there is....... Something In The Air...... Call out the instigators Because there's something in the air We've got to get together sooner or later Because the revolution's here And you know it's right And you know that it's right We have got to get it together We have got to get it together now Lock up the streets and houses Because there's something in the air We've got to get together sooner or later Because the revolution's here And you know it's right And you know that it's right We have got to get it together We have got to get it together now Hand out the arms and ammo We're going to blast our way through here We've got to get together sooner or later Because the revolution's here And you know it's right And you know that it's right We have got to get it together We have got to get it together Now ......but who knows? Could it be Something's Coming? Could be! Who knows? There's something due any day I will know right away Soon as it shows It may come cannonballing Down through the sky Gleam in its eye Bright as a rose Who knows? It's only just out of reach Down the block, on a beach Under a tree I got a feeling there's a miracle due Gonna come true Coming to me Could it be? Yes, it could. Something's coming, something good If I can wait Something's coming I don't know what it is But it is gonna be great! With a click, with a shock Phone'll jingle, door'll knock Open the latch Something's coming Don't know when, but it's soon Catch the moon, one-handed catch Around the corner Or whistling down the river Come on, deliver To me Will it be? Yes, it will Maybe just by holding still It'll be there Come on, something Come on in, don't be shy Meet a guy, pull up a chair The air is humming And something great is coming Who knows? It's only just out of reach Down the block, on a beach Maybe tonight . . . (Better put this next one one on full screen and crank it UP!!! ) It definitely feels like something's coming In The Air Tonight! I can feel it coming In the air tonight Oh Lord I've been waiting for this moment For all my life Oh Lord Can you feel it coming In the air tonight Oh Lord, Oh Lord Well if you told me you were drowning I would not lend a hand I've seen your face before my friend But I don't know if you know who I am Well I was there and I saw what you did I saw it with my own two eyes So you can wipe of that grin I know where you've been It's all been a pack of lies I can feel it coming In the air tonight Oh Lord I've been waiting for this moment For all my life Oh Lord, Oh Lord Well I remember I remember, don't worry How could I ever forget? It's the first time The last time We ever met But I know the reason why You keep me silenced up No you don't fool me Cause the hurt doesn't show But the pain still grows It's no stranger to you and me I can feel it Coming in the air tonight Oh Lord Ive been waiting for this moment For all my life Oh Lord, Oh Lord I can feel it coming in the air I can feel it coming in the air I've been waiting for this moment All my life Been waiting for this moment All my life My life OK, those are our opening selections for tonight. On a side note, each one of these three songs can be interpreted in different ways, aside from any "original" context the artists had for them. An interesting thing hit me about all three songs, bit especially the second and third songs. Listen to them, or just read the lyrics again, from the perspective of someone (like us) who has had a lifetime of weird experiences with "being taken"!! -------- So, what's "in the air"? What's everybody anticipating? Maybe what's coming depends on our wishes, desires, and our thoughts? Could be! Who Knows?

And speaking of hearing a song from a whole new perspective...... I discovered this next piece by serendipity. When I was searching for Alien Abduction Videos, I certainly was not expecting to find this! It is a mix of parts of an episode of "Unsolved Mysteries" on abductions, parts of the original music video of a Phil Collins Song, and, well, the rest, just watch and see! Take Me Home! Take that look of worry I'm an ordinary man They don't tell me nothing So I find out what I can There's a fire that's been burning Right outside my door I can't see, but I feel it And it helps to keep me warm So I, I don't mind No I, I don't mind Seems so long I've been waiting Still don't know what for There's no point escaping I don't worry anymore I can't come out to find you I don't like to go outside They can turn off my feelings Like they're turning off a light But I, I don't mind No I, I don't mind Oh I, I don't mind No I, I don't mind So take, take me home 'Cause I don't remember Take, take me home 'Cause I don't remember Take, take me home 'Cause I don't remember Take, take me home, oh lord 'Cause I've been a prisoner all my life And I can say to you Take that look of worry Mine's an ordinary life Working when it's daylight And sleeping when it's night I've got no far horizons I don't wish upon a star They don't think that I listen Oh, but I know who they are And I, I don't mind No I, I don't mind Oh I, I don't mind No I, I don't mind So take, take me home 'Cause I don't remember Take, take me home 'Cause I don't remember Take, take me home 'Cause I don't remember Take, take me home, oh lord Well I've been a prisoner all my life And I can say to you But I don't remember Take, take me home... Ok, that's all for tonight/this morning. I want to thank our sponsor, Unknown Country and Whitley Strieber, for making this show possible! I hope you have enjoyed the show. Tune in next time for "Atmospheres", for more "Good & Juicy Music for The Psyche"!! Sleep tight! "In the end, only kindness matters."

Here's how I think we all feel from time to time: "Can't get it right today" - Joe Purdy lyrics: I just can't seem to get it right today I just can't seem to get it right today I just can't seem to get it right today I guess I'm gonna give up Oh, I guess I'm gonna give up It's nearly been a year since he's been gone And we still sing his goodbye songs Goodness knows she should move on But she just can't let him go No, she just can't let him go I'm sorry if I made you want to cry I'm sorry if I made you want to cry You should know, I never meant to hide I just hate bringing you down Oh, I just hate bringing you down I just can't seem to get it right today I just can't seem to get it right today I just can't seem to get it right today I guess I'm gonna give up Oh, I guess I'm gonna give up And I dropped my paintbrush in the dirt Still remember just how much that hurt I cut my hand and wait for it to work But I just couldn't bring him back No, I just couldn't bring him back I just can't seem to get it right today Oh, I just can't seem to get it right today I just can't seem to get it right today I guess I'm gonna give up Oh, I guess I'm gonna give up Oh I guess I'm gonna give up Oh I guess I'm gonna give up Oh I guess I'm gonna give up Oh I guess I'm gonna give up Oh Lord I said I guess I'm gonna give up Oh Lord I said I guess I'm gonna give up Listen and watch here. And may we all get it right tomorrow. |

"I just can't seem to get it right today" Yeah, Miaree, I certainly feel that way lately . However, he also says: "Oh I guess I'm gonna give up Oh Lord I said I guess I'm gonna give up" Give up? Not me! However, I will, as always, pick my battles carefully. And I will always try my best to remind myself that sometimes, you just can't argue your way out of "Catch 22" situations. And I will also check myself in the mirror each day, and remind myself that not EVERYTHING is ABOUT ME. I will make extra effort to be careful NOT to "read into things", that which is not there. But I will NOT be "beaten" by those who do not wish me well, whether they are human or alien, or a combination of both. "I will not go quietly. I will not lie down." Moving on....... I have posted this before, probably more than once, because it's one of my favorite songs, and IMO, one of the most poignant lyrics ever written. I still fantasize about finding a friend or lover who will say these thing to me, and actually mean them, and "show it" in the long run. Some people stay far away from the door If there's a chance of it opening up They hear a voice in the hall outside And hope that it just passes by Some people live with the fear of a touch And the anger of having been a fool They will not listen to anyone So nobody tells them a lie I know you're only protecting yourself I know you're thinking of somebody else Someone who hurt you But I'm not above Making up for the love You've been denying you could ever feel I'm not above doing anything To restore your faith if I can Some people see through the eyes of the old Before they ever get a look at the young I'm only willing to hear you cry Because I am an innocent man I am an innocent man Oh yes I am Some people say they will never believe Another promise they hear in the dark Because they only remember too well They heard somebody tell them before Some people sleep all alone every night Instead of taking a lover to bed Some people find that it's easier to hate Than to wait anymore I know you don't want to hear what I say I know you're gonna keep turning away But I've been there And if I can survive, I can keep you alive I'm not above going through it again I'm not above being cool for a while If you're cruel to me I'll understand Some people run from a possible fight Some people figure they can never win And although this is a fight I can lose The accused is an innocent man I am an innocent man Oh yes I am An innocent man You know you only hurt yourself out of spite I guess you'd rather be a martyr tonight That's your decision But I'm not below Anybody I know If theres a chance of resurrecting a love I'm not above going back to the start To find out where the heartache began Some people hope for a miracle cure Some people just accept the world as it is But I'm not willing to lay down and die Because I am an innocent man I am an innocent man Oh yes I am An innocent man (Billy Joel) I am most definitely a whole helluva lot like the person he is saying those compassionate and loving words to in this song. Sadly, I fear that the kind of person who could live up to those words, is probably a rare exception to the rule. Sometimes, compassion for suffering, past or present, is just TOO MUCH WORK. Has our conscience shown? Has the sweet breeze blown? Has all the kindness gone? Hope still lingers on I dream myself a newfound deity Sitting alone in New York City And I don't know why Are we listening To hymns of offering? Have we eyes to see That love is gathering? All the words that I've been reading Have now started the act of bleeding Into one...into one... So I walk up on high And I step to the edge To see my world below And I laugh to myself While the tears roll down 'Cause it's the world I know Oh it's the world I know Collective Soul-The World I Know ...I have become all things to all men... 1 Corinthians 9:22

I could paint a picture with a pen But a song will only scratch the skin And there are still places I haven't been Because I know what's in there is already in the air Oh yeah, there's a storm on the way There's a storm on the way, alright There's a storm on the way, uh huh And it's comin' no matter what I say (And I come, I come, I come, I come) Hey, hey, hey, there's truth in the thunder Love in the lightning, the feeling is frightening Yeah, isn't it exciting? I'm something like stormy weather If I weren't we would never Huddle together, do I have to tell you That I'm also the sunlight, that shines shortly after? I just rain cause I have to, on to another chapter I wish you lots of laughter Til the next time you see me Just remember you need me, I'm the storm coming (And I come, I come, I come, I come) Oh C'mon (And I come, I come, I come, I come), c'mon Run towards the hills to avoid the high flood I can do a dance that'll make the sky cry blood Skills provoke, and seals will be broken open All that's left to do is try my love, wooooooh When I sing it's a cyclone I'm writing a raging sea Searching for a sign of life Is it safe to say it's me? Listen to our lives The wind will whisper the way it is I am going to happen, what a lovely day it is Don't ask why Just live, and, die Gnarls Barkley-Storm Coming ...I have become all things to all men... 1 Corinthians 9:22

***clears lump in throat*** Dang, fortwynt! You have left me breathless and amazed, with my mouth agape and my chin on the floor, I kid you not. SO completely appropriate! The Collective Soul song is one of my favorites......love, love, love them. I am going to look on youtube for the other two songs. I know the artists, but I don't think I have heard the songs. Thank you for sharing these songs. ***WHEW*** oh, and buddie, ! "In the end, only kindness matters."

I'm glad you enjoyed my choices SW. Definitely check out the other two, I perceive you will enjoy them. The S.P. one is a little loud and metal-ish, but intense and emotional...the second is just poetically powerful and metaphorically appropriate, in a manner of speaking. ...I have become all things to all men... 1 Corinthians 9:22

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PD0LGVWWWKg In a very dark place today, thinking of this song. Aug. 15th, 2001 at approximately 2205Z (6:05 p.m.) a flight of 5 UH60 National Guard (unmarked) helicoptors came over my house almost busting the windows from the west. 20 minutes later 2224Z (6:24 p.m.) another 6 UH60s came over at 3300 ft. They were flying VFR (visual flight rules), not instrument approach. |

Sorry they are messing with you, Mahalla. Been there, done that. Thankfully, it's been a long time. (About 3 years), and I have never had more than a single copter fly over me at the house I have been in since Dec. 2006. The blackhawks you saw were the copters that overflew me in the past, and hovered, several times, for several minutes; and circled numerous times, super low. I also had trouble with crop-dusters, both planes and helicopters. "In the end, only kindness matters."

Today is my wedding anniversary, and I am offering a song that always reminds me of my late husband: When You Say Nothing At All Alison Krauss & Union Station It's amazing how you can speak right to my heart Without saying a word you can light up the dark Try as I may I could never explain What I hear when you don't say a thing The smile on your face lets me know that you need me There's a truth in your eyes sayin' you'll never leave me The touch of your hand says you'll catch me if ever I fall You say it best when you say nothing at all All day long I can hear people talking out loud But when you hold me near, you drown out the crowd Old Mr. Webster could never define What's being said between your heart and mine The smile on your face lets me know that you need me There's a truth in your eyes sayin' you'll never leave me The touch of your hand says you'll catch me if ever I fall You say it best when you say nothing at all The smile on your face lets me know that you need me There's a truth in your eyes sayin' you'll never leave me The touch of your hand says you'll catch me if ever I fall You say it best when you say nothing at all To listen to the song, go here. |

Both are beautiful! I love Allison and Union Station so much! And "The Prayer" is also a work of art! I have lost some of my interest in Celine, but Andrea gives me chills and brings tears to my eyes! I also like Celine and Josh Groban's version. The first time I ever heard Josh, was in a performance with her, of that song. And speaking of Josh: Don't Give Up, You Are Loved "In the end, only kindness matters."

Cover me when I run Cover me through the fire Something knocked me out' the trees Now I'm on my knees Cover me, darling please Monkey, monkey, monkey Don't you know you're gonna shock the monkey Fox the fox Rat on the rat You can ape the ape I know about that There is one thing you must be sure of I can't take any more Darling, don't you monkey with the monkey Monkey, monkey, monkey Don't you know you're gonna shock the monkey Wheels keep turning Something's burning Don't like it but I guess I'm learning Shock! Shock! Shock! Watch the monkey get hurt! Monkey Cover me, when I sleep Cover me, when I breathe You throw your pearls before the swine Make the monkey blind Cover me, darling please Monkey Too much at stake Monkey Ground beneath me shake Monkey And the news is breaking Shock! Watch the monkey get hurt, monkey Shock the monkey Shock the monkey Shock the monkey to life! Shock The Monkey "In the end, only kindness matters."

Yeah! Chili Peppers!!!! That is one of my favorite songs, from my favorite RHCP album! Another of my favorites from that album is: Velvet Glove Close to my skin I'm falling in Someone who's been Sittin' by the phone I'm left alone In another zone John says to live above hell My will is well No one is waiting For me to fail My will could sail yeah It's such a waste to be wasted In the first place I want to taste the taste of Being face to face with common grace To meditate on the warmest dream And when I walk alone I listen To our secret theme Your solar eyes are like Nothing I have ever seen Somebody close That can see right through I'd take a fall and you know That I'd do anything I will for you Sailin' for the sun 'Cause there is One Knows where I'm from I care for you I really do I really do Come closer now So you can lie Right by my side Sit alone in the sun I wrote a letter to you Getting over myself Your solar eyes are like Nothing I have ever seen Somebody close That can see right through I'd take a fall and you know That I'd do anything I will for you Your solar eyes are like Nothing I have ever seen Somebody close That was made for you I'd take a fall and you know That I'd do anything I will for you Close to my skin Someone who's been I'm a falling in Disasters are Just another star Falling in my yard John says to live above hell My will is well Long to be with Someone to tell I love your smell "In the end, only kindness matters."

It’s the same kind of story That seems to come down from long ago Two friends having coffee together When something flies by their window It might be out on that lawn Which is wide, at least half of a playing field Because there’s no explaining what your imagination Can make you see and feel Seems like a dream (when your body means nothing) (they) got me hypnotized Now it’s not a meaningless question To ask if they’ve been and gone I remember a talk about North Carolina And a strange, strange pond You see the sides were like glass In the thick of a forest without a road And if any man’s ever made that land Then I think it would’ve showed That's why it seems like a dream (they) got me hypnotized They say there’s a place down in Mexico Where a man can fly over mountains and hills And he don’t need an airplane or some kind of engine And he never will Now you know it’s a meaningless question to ask If those stories are right ’cause what matters most if the feeling you get When you’re hypnotized If it seems like a dream They got you hypnotized When your body means nothing then you're hypnotized...... .....and another tasty Early-Mac Morsel: Oh, Well I can't help it 'bout the shape I'm in I can't sing, I ain't pretty, and my legs are thin But don't ask me what I think of you I might not give the answer that you want me to Oh, Well Now, when I talked to God, I knew he'd understand He said stick by me, and I'll be your guiding hand But don't ask me what I think of you I might not give the answer that you want me to Oh, Well "In the end, only kindness matters."

A mass of hands press on the market window Ghosts of progress Dressed in slow death Feeding on hunger And glaring through the promise Upon the food that rots slowly in the aisle A mass of nameless at the oasis That hides the graves beneath the masters hill Buried for drinking The rivers water While shackled to the line At the empty well This is the new sound Just like the old sound Just like the noose wound Over the new ground Listen to the fascist sing Take hope here War is elsewhere You were chosen This is god's land Soon well be free Of blot and mixture Seeds planted by our Forefathers hand A mass of promises Begin to rupture Like the pockets Of the new world kings Like swollen stomachs In Appalachia Like the priests that **** you As they whisper holy things A mass of tears have transformed to stones now Sharpened on suffering Woven into slings Hope lies in the rubble of this rich fortress Taking today what tomorrow never brings This is the new sound Just like the old sound Just like the noose wound Over the new ground aint the new sound just like the old sound just like the noose wound over the new ground aint the new sound just like the old sound look at the noose now over the over the over the burning ground Aint it funny how the factories doors close Round the time that the school doors close Round the time that the doors of the jail cells Open up to greet you like the reaper Aint it funny how the factories doors close Round the time that the school doors close Round the time that a hundred thousand jail cells Open up to greet you like the reaper This is the new sound Just like the old sound Just like the noose wound Over the new ground Like ashes in the fall R.A.T.M. Gutta cavat lapidem non vi, sed saepe cadendo. O wilku mowa, a wilk tuz tuz

I woke up with this song running through my head. Just thought I'd post it. Evergreen... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oEVdnoNFKiE I must create a system, or be enslaved by another man's. ~William Blake

I spin off and lose my head Throwing stray a spark instead Gather strength down in my heel And dig it in the world I peel Way down deep within my heart Lies a soul that's torn apart Tell me, tell me what your after I just want to get there faster I don't live - I inhale I don't give - I unveil Don't want to live in your misery I don't live - I inhale Sprinkle all my kisses on your head Stars full of wishes fill our beds She said, "I'm dead" All this pain smothers me Like a bomb that you can't see Tell me, tell me what your after I just want to get there faster I don't live - I inhale I don't give - I unveil I don't live - I inhale I don't live -Siva Smashing Pumpkins Psuedo-Profundity in death in ones eye, so insignificant as I. --Charles Manson

I used to rule the world Seas would rise when I gave the word Now in the morning I sweep alone Sweep the streets I used to own I used to roll the dice Feel the fear in my enemy's eyes Listen as the crowd would sing Now the old king is dead, long live the king! One minute I held the key Next the walls were closed on me And I discovered that my castles stand Upon pillars of salt, and pillars of sand I hear Jerusalem bells a ringing Roman Cavalry choirs are singing Be my mirror, my sword and shield My missionaries in a foreign field For some reason I can't explain Once you'd go there was never, never an honest word That was when I ruled the world It was the wicked and wild wind Blew down the doors to let me in Shattered windows and the sound of drums People couldn't believe what I'd become Revolutionaries wait For my head on a silver plate Just a puppet on a lonely string Oh, who would ever wanna be king I hear Jerusalem bells were ringing Roman Cavalry choirs were singing Be my mirror, my sword and shield My missionaries in a foreign field For some reason I can't explain I know St. Peter won't call my name Never an honest word But that was when I ruled the world Bridge: Whoaaa (x4) Bridge and Chorus mix: (Whoa...) Here Jerusalem bells were ringing (Whoa...) Roman Cavalry choirs were singing (Whoa...) Be my mirror, my sword and shield (Whoa...) My missionaries in a foreign field (Whoa...) For some reason I can't explain (Whoa...) I know St. Peter won't call my name Never an honest word But that was when I ruled the world Viva La Vida-Coldplay Love says "I am everything". Wisdom says "I am nothing". Between the two, my life flows. -Nisargadatta Maharaj
