White Mansions Album

They laid waste to our land

They laid waste to our land
They took it from our hand
From Atlanta to Savannah
They scorched our earth
They stole our corn and wheat
They left no food to eat
They slaughtered all the cattle
Took the things of worth

Well we got women and children too
Just the same as you
Ain't it enough just to know
that you got us beat

The hatred will never cease
Even now that theres peace
The feelings will run
As deep as the scares that we bear

This ain't cloth we wear it's a rag
Were at the mercy of the Carpetbagers
What you call justice is plain unfair
How to hell can you ever claim
Its been worth all the pain
Just to have us live together under one Flag.

On November 15 1864 Gen.Sherman cut out
the back of Atlanta with 68,000 hard worn
yankies, he drove'em down through Georgia
to the sea. With hate in their hearts they
moved in a line cutting a scar through
gods blessed country 50 miles wide.
Burning looting and gutting our land like
vultures. They tore up the railroad tracks
they burnt the cotton and the gins
Lord they made everyone suffer...

Lyrics and Music by PaulKennerley

Lawd Buddie,

Born and raised in Georgia. The pain came down through the generations. My relatives died for the confederacy. I don't know why I'm thinking so old fashioned...shut mah mouth, the wars over.

Mamas if the truth be known
that war has held me in it's
grips forever.. maybe one day
I'll make it down south to
see some of it's historical
sights..theres a part of me
that remembers being a nurse
in charge and walking through
very muddy fields..I'm thinking
perhaps it was that war since I
ache for the south..but I don't
dwell on such things so it all
could be silly thoughts :-)

to be comfortable but to grow"..

This is pretty...

by Colin Raye - "Love, Me."

I read a note my Grandma wrote back in 1923
Grandpa kept it in his coat, and he showed it once to me
He said, "Boy, you might not understand, but a long, long time ago,
Grandma's daddy didn't like me none, but I love your Grandma so.

We had this crazy plan to meet and run away together
Get married in the first town we came to and live forever
But nailed to the tree where we were supposed to meet instead
I found this letter, and this is what it said :

"If you get there before I do
Don't give up on me
I'll meet you when my chores are through
I don't know how long I'll be

But I'm not gonna let you down
Darling wait and see
And between now and then
Til I see you again

I'll be loving you
Love, Me."

I read those words just hours before my Grandma passed away
In the doorway of the church where me and Grandpa stopped to pray
I know I've never seen him cry in all my fifteen years
But as he said these words to her, his eyes fill up with tears

"If you get there before I do
Don't give up on me
I'll meet you when my chores are through
I don't know how long I'll be

But I'm not gonna let you down
Darling wait and see
And between now and then
Til I see you again

I'll be loving you
Love, Me."

We're playing those mind games together
Pushing the barriers, planting seeds
Playing the mind guerrilla
Chanting the mantra, peace on earth
We all been playing those mind games forever
Some kinda druid dudes lifting the veil
Doing the mind guerrilla
Some call it magic, the search for the grail

Love is the answer and you know that for sure
Love is a flower, you got to let it, you got to let it grow

So keep on playing those mind games together
Faith in the future, outta the now
You just can't beat on those mind guerrillas
Absolute elsewhere in the stones of your mind
Yeah we're playing those mind games forever
Projecting our images in space and in time

Yes is the answer and you know that for sure
Yes is surrender, you got to let it, you got to let it go

So keep on playing those mind games together
Doing the ritual dance in the sun
Millions of mind guerrillas
Putting their soul power to the karmic wheel
Keep on playing those mind games forever
Raising the spirit of peace and love

Love...
(I want you to make love, not war, I know you've heard it before)

-----------------------------------------------

Imagine there's no heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today... I IIII

Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace... you whooo

You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world... you whooo

You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one

buddie, that was absolutely fascinating!

That's what I love the most about this board; I learn new things, and have new experiences, as a result of what is shared by the people here!

I was not at ALL familiar with Hedwig & The Angry Inch! I just spent an hour reading up on it! Absolutely fascinating!

This is not the most thought-provoking lyrics out there but together with the video it makes much more sense...

KoRn - Evolution

I'm digging with my fingertips,
I'm gripping at the ground I stand upon.
I'm searching for fragile bones.
(Evolution)

I'm never gonna be refined;
keep trying but I won't assimilate.
Sure, we have come far in time...
(Watch the bough break)

And I'm sorry I don't believe,
by the evidence that I see,
that there's any hope left for me...
It's evolution!
Just evolution!

And I, I do not dare deny
the basic beast inside;
it's right here,
it's controlling my mind!
And why do I deserve to die?
I'm dominated by
this animal that's locked up inside!

Close up to get a real good view,
I'm betting that the species will survive.
Hold tight, I'm getting inside you...
(Evolution)

And when we're gonna find these bones,
they're gonna want to keep them in a jar.
The number one virus,
caused by procreation.

And the planet may go astray;
in a million years they'll say:
"Those mother f**kers were all deranged!"
It's evolution!
Just evolution!

And I, I do not dare deny
the basic beast inside;
it's right here,
it's controlling my mind!
And why do I deserve to die?
I'm dominated by
this animal that's locked up inside!

Take a look around... (take a look around...)
Nothing much has changed!
Take a look around... (take a look around...)
Nothing much has changed!
Take a look around!
Take a look around!
Take a look around!
Nothing much has changed!
Take a look around!
Take a look around!
Nothing much has changed!
Take a look around!
Take a look around!
Nothing much has changed!
Take a look around!

I, I do not dare deny
the basic beast inside;
it's right here,
it's controlling my mind!
And why do I deserve to die?
I'm dominated by
this animal that's locked up inside

Why? (why.) (why) (why)
Why do I deserve to die? (do i deserve to die)
(Why? Why? Why?)

I'm waking up at the start of the end of the world,
but its feeling just like every other morning before,
now i wonder what my life is going to mean if it's gone,
the cars are moving like a half a mile an hour if that
and I started staring at the passengers who are waving goodbye
can you tell me what was ever really special about me all this time?

chorus:
but i believe the world is burning to the ground
oh well i guess we're gonna find out
let's see how far we've come
let's see how far we've come
Well I, believe, it all, is coming to an end
oh well, i guess, we're gonna pretend,
let's see how far we've come
let's see how far we've come

i think it turned ten o'clock but i don't really know
then i can't remember caring for an hour or so
started crying and i couldn't stop myself
i started running but there's no where to run to
i sat down on the street and took a look at myself
said where you going man you know the world is headed for hell
say your goodbyes if you've got someone you can say goodbye to

i believe the world is burning to the ground
oh well i guess we're gonna find out
let's see how far we've come
let's see how far we've come

Well I, believe, it all, is coming to an end
oh well, i guess, we're gonna pretend,
let's see how far we've come
let's see how far we've come

its gone gone baby its all gone
there is no one on the corner and there's no one at home
it was cool cool, it was just all cool
now it's over for me and it's over for you
well its gone gone baby its all gone
there is no one on the corner and there's no one at home
well it was cool cool, it was just all cool
now it's over for me and it's over for you

but i believe the world is burning to the ground
oh well i guess we're gonna find out
let's see how far we've come
let's see how far we've come
Well I, believe, it all, is coming to an end
oh well, i guess, we're gonna pretend,
let's see how far we've come

Holiday

Hear the sound of the falling rain
Coming down like an Armageddon flame (Hey!)
The shame, the ones who died without a name

Hear the dogs howling out of key
To a hymn called Faith and Misery (Hey!)
A plead, the company lost the war today

I beg to dream and differ from the hollow lies
This is the dawning of the rest of our lives
On holiday

Hear a drum pounding out of time
Another protestor has crossed the line (Hey!)
The line, the money's on the other side

Can I get another Amen (Amen)
There's a flag wrapped around the score of men (Hey!)
A gag, A plastic bag on a monument

I beg to dream and differ from the hollow lies
This is the dawning of the rest of our lives
On holiday

"The representative from California has the floor"

Seek out to the president gasbag
Bombs away is your punishment
Pulverize the Eiffel tower
who criticized your government
Bang bang goes the broken glass man
Kill all the f*gs that don't agree
Triumph by fires, sinning buyers
Is that a way that's meant for me
Just cause
Just cause because we’re all ok

I beg to dream and differ from the hollow lies
This is the dawning of the rest of our lives
I beg to dream and differ from the hollow lies
This is the dawning of the rest of our lives
This is our lives on holiday

~Green Day

GOOD last few songs!!! YEAH!

Shine

Oh let your little light shine
Let your little light shine
Shine on Wall Street and Vegas
Place your bets
Shine on the fishermen
With nothing in their nets
Shine on rising oceans and evaporating seas
Shine on our Frankenstein technologies
Shine on science
With its tunnel vision
Shine on fertile farmland
Buried under subdivisions

Let your little light shine
Let your little light shine
Shine on the dazzling darkness
That restores us in deep sleep
Shine on what we throw away
And what we keep

Shine on Reverend Pearson
Who threw away
The vain old God
kept Dickens and Rembrandt and Beethoven
And fresh plowed sod
Shine on good earth, good air, good water
And a safe place
For kids to play
Shine on bombs exploding
Half a mile away

Let your little light shine
Let your little light shine
Shine on world-wide traffic jams
Honking day and night
Shine on another azzwhole**
Passing on the right!
Shine on the red light runners
Busy talking on their cell phones
Shine on the Catholic Church
And the prisons that it owns
Shine on all the Churches
They all love less and less
Shine on a hopeful girl
In a dreamy dress

Let your little light shine
Let your little light shine
Shine on good humor
Shine on good will
Shine on lousy leadership
Licensed to kill
Shine on dying soldiers
In patriotic pain
Shine on mass destruction
In some God's name!
Shine on the pioneers
Those seekers of mental health
Craving simplicity
They traveled inward
Past themselves...
May all their little lights shine

(Joni Mitchell)

Every Time I Think Of You

Appearing in the night,
Like an angel while I'm sleeping
I feel your arms around me
but sadly I'm just dreaming
I stare into the darkness
and hope to find you waiting
But I know that it's useless,
I'm just hallucinating

And I swear, your love is addicting,
I'd give up my world,
for you I'd come running
And I swear, that I have it all,
Then tell me why can't I stop thinking of you

It's your voice that I hear
It's your touch that I feel
And your love comes to me
every time I think of you
Boy my dreams are so real
and I know eventually,
You will see what I feel
Every Time I Think Of You

Veo cada estrella en el brillo de tus ojos,
Veo primavera, en medio del otono
Veo lluvia Fresca, luz de luna llena
Veo que mi vida sin ti estaria a medias
"I know I did not come here
to be comfortable but to grow"..

I got a message saying the user had possibly cancelled his id....and if so, it was done in a matter of days.

When I get the time, I'll find some other source for the song....although I don't know the title. It was a very upbeat lovely tune.

Something like...

"Can you love me like a daughter,
give me the love of a father,
love me like water..."

With a chorus of something along the lines of "everything is gonna be alright...."

I am headed outa Dodge so I'll have to get back to this at a slightly later date. Sorry for the tease.

Isolation

People say we got it made,
Don't they know we're so afraid,
Isolation,
We're afraid to be alone,
Everybody got to have a home,
I-Isolation.
Just a boy and a little girl,
Trying to change the whole wide world,
I-Isolation,
The world is just a little town,
Everybody trying to put us down,
I-I-Isolation.
I don't expect you to understand,
After you caused so much pain,
But then again you're not to blame,
You're just a human, a victim of the insane.
We're afraid of everyone,
Afraid of the sun,
I-I-Isolation,
The sun will never disappear,
But the world may not have many years,
I-I-Isolation!

Keep you in the dark you know they all pretend
Keep you in the dark and so it all began
Send in your skeletons
Sing as their bones go marching in again
They need you buried deep
The secrets that you keep are ever ready
Are you ready
I'm finished making sense
Done pleading ignorance...that whole defense

It's been an infinity, oh
The wheel is spinning me
It's never ending
Never ending
Same old story

What if I say I'm not like the others
What if I say I'm not just another one in your place
You're the pretender
What if I say I will never surrender

In time or so i'm told
I'm just another soul for sale
Oh well
The page is out of print
We are not permanent
We're temporary
Temporary
Same old story

What if I say I'm not like the others
What if I say I'm not just another one in your place
You're the pretender
What if I say I will never surrender

I'm the voice inside your head
You refuse to hear
I'm the face that you have to face
Mirroring your stare
I'm what's left
I'm what's right
I'm the enemy
I'm the hand that'll take you down
Bring you to your knees

So who are you
Yeah who are you
Yeah who are you
Yeah who are you

Keep you in the dark you know they all pretend

What if I say I'm not like the others
What if I say I'm not just another one in your place
You're the pretender

What if I say I will never surrender

The Pretender

Something you should know about What Will I Do Lyrics

Title: T Timmy - What Will I Do lyrics

Artist: T Timmy

Visitors: 49 visitors have hited What Will I Do Lyrics since Feb 12, 2007.

Print: T Timmy - What Will I Do Lyrics print version

When I met you
you meant the world to me
'cause you were the type of girl
that set her free
now I'm out cold
you stole my heart from me
but I know someday you'll think
back and remember me
Chorus:
Now what will I do
now what will I do
what will I, what will I do
without you
Now what will I do
now what will I do
what will I, what will I do
without you
Now love is gone
you're far away from me
you would have been so rich with love
but set it free
now you want home
but it's too late for me
'cause I won't be used and abused
and then set free
Chorus (3x)

i think its time to either have courage and meet me face to face or to just drop it
i cant do this with you any more. it could have been good but now its no good
i dont want to be obsesive i dont want to play games i dont want anything but companionship. and if i cant have that i settle for just haveing some one sane to work with.
like i said last night take good care of your self
genossiennes first part listen to it then you'll know what its been like on this end for 4 years now
peace

ps i dont like talking through other people. you have anawsome gift use it for good now.

stop messing with my gig man. geesh! every time! leave this one alone, seems cool.

Virtually

I have the power
To wish you away
I have the power
To wish you to stay
Sometimes I have the power
to make wishes come true
The starlight knows it if
I'm wishing for you
Virtually, virtually
Now your emotions choking you
Now your oceans capsized thee
Love is a holograph till you cry
feels like the moon shaking
in the sky
Twin suns shining on the planets around
Come call the rain
That makes the lovers drown
Virtually, virtually
Now I have the power
To wish you away
Now I have the power
To wish you to stay
Sometimes I have the power
To make wishes come true
The starlight knows it if
I'm wishing for you
Love is a holography till you cry
feels like the moon shaking
in the sky
Twins suns shining on the planets around
Come call the rain
That makes the lover's drown
Virtually, virtually
Virtually, virtually
"I know I did not come here
to be comfortable but to grow"..

Natalie Merchant :-)

La la la la...
You've been so kind and generous
I don't know how you keep on giving
For your kindness I'm in debt to you
For your selflessness my admiration
For everything you've done you know
I'm bound
I'm bound to thank you for it
La la la la la la la la...
You've been so kind and generous
I don't know how you keep on giving
For your kindness I'm in debt to you
And I never could have come this far
without you.For everything you've done,
you know I'm bound
I'm bound to thank you for it
La-la-la-la la la la la la...
Oh, I want to thank you for so many gifts
you gave The love, the tenderness, I wanna
thank you want to thank you for your generosity,
the love And the honesty that you gave me
I want to thank you show my gratitude
My love, and my respect for you,
I want to thank you
Oh, I want to thank you, thank you;
thank you, thank you
I want to thank you, thank you; thank you,
thank you

to be comfortable but to grow"..

What I stick in here is 99% 'symbolism'..
A symbol has complex meaning; it has not only "literal" meaning, but also additional meaning(s) beyond the literal. Sometimes the literal meaning of a symbol is absurd, so that the symbolic meaning over-rides and cancels out the literal meaning. A symbol may have more than one meaning. In fact, the most significant symbols do convey an indefinite range of meanings..

"Garden Party" was one of my favorite songs I still remember that line:

You can't please everyone, so you got to please yourself . . .
"I know I did not come here
to be comfortable but to grow"..

The Last Time I Saw Her
Gordon Lightfoot

The last time I saw her face
Her eyes were bathed in starlight and her hair hung long
The last time she spoke to me
Her lips were like the scented flowers inside a rain-drenched forest
But that was so long ago that I can scarcely feel
The way I felt before
And if time could heal the wounds
I would tear the threads away that I might bleed some more
The last time I walked with her
Her laughter was the steeple bells, that ring to greet the morning sun
A voice that called to everyone, to love the ground she walked upon
Those were good days
The last time I held her hand
Her touch was autumn, spring and summer and winter too
The last time I let go of her
She walked a way into the night, I lost her in the misty streets
A thousand months, a thousand years, when other lips will kiss her eyes
A million miles beyond the moon, that's where she is
But that was so long ago that I can scarcely feel the way I felt before
And if time could heal the wounds
I would tear the threads away that I might bleed some more
The last time I saw her face
Her eyes were bathed in starlight and she walked alone
The last time she kissed my cheek
Her lips were like the wilted leaves, upon the autumn covered hills
Resting on the frozen ground, the seeds of love lie cold and still
Beneath a battered marking stone, it lies forgotten

So while I'm turning in my sheets
And once again I cannot sleep
Walk out the door and up the street
Look at the stars beneath my feet
Remember rights that I did wrong
So here I go

Hello, hello

There is no place I cannot go
My mind is muddy but
My heart is heavy does it show
I lose the track that loses me
So here I go

uhuuuu uhuuuu uhuuuu

And so I sent some men to fight
And one came back at dead of night
Said he'd seen my enemy
Said he looked just like me
So I set out to cut myself
And here I go

uhuuuu uhuuuu uhuuuu

I’m not calling for a second chance
I'm screaming at the top of my voice
Give me reason, but don’t give me choice
Cause I'll just make the same mistake again

uhuuuu uhuuuu uhuuuu

And maybe someday we will face
And maybe talk but not just speak
Dont buy the promises cause
There are no promises I keep
and my reflection troubles me
So here I go

uhuuuu uhuuuu uhuuuu

I’m not calling for a second chance
I’m screaming at the top of my voice
Give me reason, but don’t give me choice
Cause I'll just make the same mistake

I’m not calling for a second chance
I'm screaming at the top of my voice
Give me reason, but don’t give me choice
Cause I'll just make the same mistake again

uhuuuu uhuuuu uhuuuu

uhuuuu uhuuuu uhuuuu
So while I'm turning in my sheets

uhuuuu uhuuuu uhuuuu
And once again I cannot sleep

uhuuuu uhuuuu uhuuuu
Walk out the door and up the street

uhuuuu uhuuuu uhuuuu
Look at the stars

uhuuuu uhuuuu uhuuuu
Look at the stars falling down

uhuuuu uhuuuu uhuuuu
And I wonder where

uhuuuu uhuuuu uhuuuu
Did I go wrong

one of the greatest songs known to man..

His name... James Blunt....
Not all is what it appears to be. Yet we manage.

Is it a warning? Is it an evil sign?
Is it a people who have lost their mind?
Is it the Darkness? Is it a man resigned?
Is it a best friend leaving you behind?
Is it ever gonna stop? Will they ever let you go?
You're in a rush, they don't care enough 'cause their lives are very slow
Time is ticking on
You don't get a second shot
And when you sell your soul for a leading role, will The Lost Souls be forgot?

And if I can't hear the music and the audience is gone
I'll dance here on my own
And I hope the Lonely Heart's Club Band will play out one last song
Before the sun goes down

And is it envy? Should it really make you sick?
Is now the time that you realise you'd better get out quick?
'Cause time is ticking on too long to fake your smile
But then you sold your soul for a leading role
So wear it for a while

And if I can't hear the music and the audience is gone
I'll dance here on my own
And I hope the Lonely Heart's Club Band will play out one last song
Before the sun goes down
And there she goes
And there she goes

(x2)
So run, Yoshimi, run (run Yoshimi run)
'Cause Billy's got himself a gun (Billy's got himself a gun)
And you're right to be afraid: they'll send you to your grave
'Cause you're strange and new

And if I can't hear the music and the audience is gone
I'll dance

James blunt
I can't hear the music.
Not all is what it appears to be. Yet we manage.
we can and shall always blame ourselves. Peace..

That's a really good song.

My sister gave me the album ("I'm Not Dead") last year, primarily to share another song from the album with me, that was particularly meaningful for she and I, due to changes in our lives over the past almost 16 months.

"Dear Mr. President" became my second favorite from the CD. Every song on the CD is GOOD!

buddie, there are local elections coming up here where I live. (Ugly signs all over town)

But, I do nearly zero listening to regular radio anymore, because I listen to Music Choice on cable, and my own collection of music. So, I don't know if the local stations are playing the song.....but, I would be surprised if they are; this is WAY "Shrub-Lovers' Country" here.

Anyway, yeah; I have great respect for Pink, as well, and was surprised at how GOOD a singer she actually is!

GUD Zeeks SC look what they did
to the Dixie chicks.. I have a
radio on my desk at work (phone)
and it's set on a local station..
They love Pink in Toronto she tours
a lot here.. and opens for other
bands also.. which speaks loudly
for her considering she easily packs
her own concerts.. she's a class
act for someone so young imo ..
I think I'm up for the day now so

Yeah, Pink has said that US dj's were told not to ask her about the song in interviews. And from what I gather, Jimmy Kimmel is the only media person who has allowed her (actually lobbied the network for her) to perform the song!

Yeah, she and Natalie Maines are two tough and talented broads, not to mention outspoken!

Enjoy your coffee!!! And your day!

Yeah, the airwaves are pretty free aren't they?
(Gags)

At least there is the internet. Her song makes me so sad because it strikes me as so true.

I THINK we have an election looming, buddie, although it gets harder to know WHEN its going to be because the campaigning gets underway earlier and earlier each time. Hard when inflation eats at the dollar. Gotta raise more each time just to keep up with the Jones's.

Hey, 2nd, at least you have Alex Jones who is like the proverbial lone voice crying in the wilderness.....

Love is all around me

I feel it in my fingers
I feel it in my toes
Love is all around me
And so the feeling grows

Its written on the wind
Its everywhere I go,
oh yes it is
So if you really love me
Come on and let it show

You know I love you,
I always will
My minds made up by the
Way that I feel
Theres no beginning,
There'll be no end
cause on my love you can depend..

I see your face before me
As I lay on my bed
I kinda get to thinking
Of all the things we said,
oh yes I did

You gave your promise to me
and i gave mine to you
I need someone beside me
In this thing that we do,
oh yes I do..

You know I love you, I always will
My minds made up by the
Way that I feel
Theres no beginning,
There'll be no end
cause on my love you can depend...

Got to keep it moving
Oh its written in the wind
Oh everywhere I go, yeah
Come on and let it
Come on and let it show..

bit by bit by bit by bit....

Ah, both Johns are gems! Both can make me laugh and cry in a heartbeat!

Especially loved the Prine tune!!!

"....spite the noses right off our faces..."
"In the end, only kindness matters."

I have discovered a lil British pop band, their not to glamorous here in the states, but this guy has a powerful voice. Not to mention a good song writer anyhow their 1st album was decent, their 2nd album Under the Iron sea, has some very strong Verse rifts. The name of the band is Keane, oh and by the way. Their is no guitar in this band.. Anyhow the songs worth a crap on this album are, Bad dream, Atlantic, and Nothing in my way. The Hamberg song is alright too I guess, but this album is laid back.

This song is for our beloved Susi who must continue traveling her path without her beloved son, Bryn.

Artist: Beth Nielsen Chapman
Song: Sand and Water

All alone I didn't like the feeling
All alone I sat and cried
All alone I had to find some meaning
In the center of the pain I felt inside

All alone I came into this world
All alone I will someday die
Solid stone is just sand and water, baby
Sand and water, and a million years gone by

I will see you in the light of a thousand suns
I will hear you in the sound of the waves
I will know you when I come, as we all will come
Through the doors beyond the grave

All alone I heal this heart of sorrow
All alone I raise this child
Flesh and bone, he's just
Bursting towards tomorrow
And his laughter fills my world and wears your smile

I will see you in the light of a thousand suns
I will hear you in the sound of the waves
I will know you when I come, as we all will come
Through the doors beyond the grave

All alone I came into this world
All alone I will someday die
Solid stone is just sand and water, baby
Sand and water and a million years gone by

See the video here.

For Susi

I Like the sunrise
by Kurt Elling

I like the sunrise/'cause it brings a new day
I like the new day/ it brings new hope they say

I like the sunrise/blazing in the new sky
Nighttime is weary/oh, and so am I

Every evening I wish upon a star that my brand new bright tomorrow isn't very far
When the heavy blue curtain of night is raised up high/ clear out of sight

then I like the sunrise/ so heavenly to see
I like the sunrise/ I hope it likes poor me

don't worry about saving this music/or be scared if the singing ends
or the piano breaks a string/ for we have fallen to a place where everything is
music and singing/everything is recovered and new/ ever new and musical
and even if the whole world's harp should burn up/ there would still be hidden there
the spirit of song there to linger on/ and even if a candle's blown out by wind the fire smolders on in an ember and then sparks again/ the singing is a drop/ just a drop in oceans of seas/ grace keeps it moving through bodies like these
and the sound of a life sends an echoing out/ the poem sings willingly in each newborn's crying shout/ but it's growing slowly/ and keeps many secrets/ stop the words and listen/ feel the echo of it starting/open a space in the center of your beating heart and let spirits fly in and out.

Much Love
Etsi & Bear Heart

I'm on my way
By Cyril MacPhee

I'm on my way
and now I'm going
Back to a place
that I know well
Folks I tell
may say I'm crazy
But all my friends
they wish me well..

I've been favoured
at your table
Where I have feasted
as you guest
But theres a hunger
in me burning
Like a fire in my breast

I'm on my way
and now I'm going
Back to a place
that I know well
Folks I tell
they say I'm crazy
But all my friends
they wish me well..

We are like
a rolling river
For years been flowing
deep and strong
And while the waters
have been changing
And forever ever moving on

I'm one my way
and now I'm going
Back to a place
that I know well
Folks I tell
may say I'm crazy
But all my friends
they wish me well..

Now the restless soul
thats set to wander
And weary feet
that are bound to roam
Leave a heart
forever yearning
For the body
knows no home

I'm on my way
and now I'm going
Back to a place
that I know well
Folks I tell
may say I'm crazy
But all my friends
they wish me well..

All my friends
they wish me well..
"I know I did not come here
to be comfortable but to grow"..
