Theoretically, it's a 14 hour drive but I recall doing it in 12 last year.

Unfortunately unable to attend due to loss of job and major car repair. My first Festival I have not attended since its inception.

My best thoughts to all that are attending.

Whitley mentioned altering the annual schedule and/or size of the Festival recently. I would like to offer that the Festival should not be offered more than once a year. Trying to force something that genuine and organic will tend to dissipate its potential impact. I can see increasing the audience from 130 (actual paying) to 140-150. Any larger increase would tend to dilute the intimacy this gathering offers.

This comes from an individual who was unable to attend this year. I do thank Whitley, Anne, William and all the behind the scenes effort that are required to put this endeavor in place.

I attended for the first time this year. It was a wonderful experience and I will definitely plan to attend next year.

Some of the highlights:

Whitley and Anne sat together on stage and read a book they are working on about their experiences with Anne's aneurysm. At one point, Whitley got emotional and began to cry as he read. Anne also had to wipe tears away. It was a beautiful thing for them to share with us. Truly the most touching moment of the Festival.

William Henry's presentation on The Secret of Sion and The Kit was beautiful. The art work was amazing and I cannot imagine the research that went into finding the art that featured "The Kit". I purchased the book, because there was so much information, I would never remember it all and wanted to study more closely. I was also told be another attendee, who had attended William's presentation in April, who said he had added add'l info in less than a month. Not many presenters would have done this. He is a hard working man!

Linda Moulton Howe's presentation on self activating machines was amazing. It covered the CARET program and ET machines that are activated by geometric shapes. She is so thorough in her research. Part of this presentation covered the drones and the Ted Connors case.

One of the most interesting things about the conference are the people you meet. I was surprised to find that most of the people I talked to were only into one of the speakers. I've listened to all of them over the years - being an Unknown Country fan. Some of them had never even listened to Dreamland or Revelations. That really surprised me. I'll admit I only talked to about 10 people in depth. I was alone at the meeting and feeling a little shy being my first time. Next time I'll make sure I talk to more people and learn of their experiences. Of the people I talked to, only one was a contactee.

I'll stop here. I'm worn out after the drive home. For those who attended, I am thankful to have shared this special weekend with you.

Thanks for such a thoughtful response, Magdala. I hope I can finally go next year- it's always right at the end of my son's school year which makes it tricky for me. That several of the folks you spoke with had never even listened to Dreamland or Rev is so surprising!

Thanks for sharing!

The Festival was tremendously intimate and affirming for me. Sitting in a room for 2 days with contactees, experiencers, and fellow spiritual warriors of truth, felt like sitting down to a gracious, heartfelt meal for the Soul. I deeply appreciate my own experiences and felt joyful and complete to have met so many others who radiate that gentle wisdom and kindness as a result of theirs. Whitley and Anne were astoundingly raw and truly open about the terrifying journey they both walked when their marriage journey encountered a shamanic trip during Anne's deadly brain aneurysm. What I love about Whitley is his acute, and highly evolved emotional intelligence as well his ability to share his experiences with compassion, authenticity, and intellect.
What I loved Saturday about Whitley is his transparency and beautifully raw expression of deep, unabiding love for Anne- and the EnergeticSourceConnection he expresses not only for her, but with the Us and our Visitors from realms beyond. We are family. For some of us, we DO know and have cognizant memories of our relationship with our Galactic Family. It is important that we connect with each other in person in venues like the Dreamland Festival. We need that emotional, physical, and spiritual homecoming it fulfills.

@setscrew..

There have been several proposed changes to locations,,, The Ranch, Nashville. I think since William Henry is from Nashville area it is easier for him to book and support the evenrt in Nashville.

One could do an evaluation to see where most of the attendees come from and move it closer, to say , the Northeast cooridor or move it every year like most confernences.. but it may be to much of a hassle for William or prohibitively expensive.

Although May is a busy month it was much better in May than in June..and maybe cheaper(???) perhaps Even April or the mild late winter??

Either way, I'll make it. It was my 4th!!

It was a very moving experience for me, too. It went way beyond the usual journey of a conference, which is enlightening but also tiring and not 'connected' like the Dreamland Festival. It is a moving and profoundly energizing experience for me. I come away from it feeling enriched and enlightened. Those of us who have had the close encounter experience, seen a UFO or formed an intense interest, perhaps because of buried memories, are changed. It doesn't matter if our experience was traumatic or not. We are changed, and when we come together, there is a beauty there of a kind that is uncommon in human experience.

Incidentally, Setscrew, I agree with you completely. It has to be kept small, but I am thinking we should do it in different parts of the country, perhaps once in Nashville and another time on the West Coast.

We tried that a few years ago in Joshua Tree and it worked very well, but the energy was not the same. There were people there, for example, from the Scientology movement trolling for converts. What you get when you're near a place like LA. They kept it from having the power of the Nashville event.

Still, I am thinking that there must be a way to make it work out here, so more of us can experience the enriching energy that comes when our 'family'gathers.

The key is to have it near a college dorm or affordable accomendations, like shared suite bathrooms & dorms. Flight fees exclude some of us...but moving it would be cool.

Maybe here is the criteria:

1. affordable lodging.
2. Shoulder seasons exclude storms & excessive weather.
3. Although the conference takes up all the time, and it's hard to find a window...it might be cool to be near a 'paranormal site' so we can visit it before or after. I went to the Megamonolithic event in Conn. We got to see structures and monoliths in addition to the conference.
4. Near airports & trains. No one wishes to fly in only to rent a car & drive 3 hours!

Do an evaluation of where everyone hails from to place it close to the majority-but with the other criteria given consideration.

Here is some cool places if we wish to have it in the NE one year. ( I live near the Philadelphia Metro area)

Cool center with cheap lodging:
http://www.kirkridge.org/

Open minded Quaker retreat center 7 miles from Philadelphia international:

http://www.pendlehill.org/

I also meet a lot of peolpe at DL V fron New York state & manhattan, at least 6-7...

Anyway, my .02 I think this covers the affordable part of the Northeast Corridor.

I *love* Sedona, but it does include an extra drive from Phoenix. Last time I was there, I met a couple who ran a night time tour where they used infra red goggles to look for UFOs.

It's ironic I haven't yet made it to the festival in Nashville considering that's where I grew up and where my family still lives. It's the time that doesn't work for me- it's always during the last couple of weeks of school. But of course, there's no pleasing everyone. One of these days I'll get there, no matter where it is!

I'm open to the idea of a different locale, and I like Jimmy's idea of surveying attendees to see where majority of people are coming from. Though the presenters have to coordinate their schedules, and there's something to be said for the relative centrality of Nashville. Of course, I would love to see a NE locale :-)

And the reading Whitley and Anne did was extremely moving!

Gosh I met 1 woman from Little Rock, AK, two from Ohio, 2 from Atlanta, GA, 1 from North Carolina, and one other from Florida like myself and companion. It's nice to have the festival in central N.E. (!) I would love to see a WestCoast Dreamland. Kim Carlsberg lives in Sedona, and I'm certain she could direct us to a great venue and lodging to hold a Conference there. It is such a special place and the people there are great!

I used to post here occasionally several years ago, but lost my login info. I'm glad to be back, and thought I'd make my first post about my experiences at the Dreamland festival...

I've wanted to attend Dreamland since I first heard about it several years ago, and this was the year I was determined to make it happen. I am so glad I did. I knew the presentations would be dazzling, and I wasn't disappointed. Having the opportunity to meet the writer who has been such a big part of my life, for more than half my life, was of course thrilling. It isn't every day you get to meet your heroes.

What I didn't know though was that the real magic lies in the company of all those attending. It is hard to describe the instant sense of deep connection to total strangers, like you've known them your whole life. The conversations begun mere seconds after meeting someone were more real and intimate than the ones I have with people I see every day. There was none of the artifice that usually accompanies meeting a stranger-no guarded small talk, no pretension, no boundaries. A feeling of true community. Dare I say, communion?

The Scarritt campus is breathtakingly beautiful and peaceful, just perfect for such an event. Shared meals were a really wonderful time to connect with each other. I had a lovely conversation with Anne over one lunch. I was also lucky enough to sit next to Raven for a meal, and she was very gracious and kind, taking me under her wing and even calling a friend that lives near me in Miami to make introductions.

As for the presentations, what an amazing lineup this year! Linda could have had a 5 hour time slot and I'm sure we all would have been thrilled to stay and listen all night. Marla's presentation struck a difficult balance between being very fun and amusing, while touching on some really heavy stuff. I know her readings changed some lives. What can be said about Nick Pope? A very brave and genuine man, his honesty is so needed and appreciated. Jim Marrs, such a character, and a true crusader!

Of course one of the highlights was Whitley and Anne reading from the book they have been working on regarding Anne's near death experience several years ago, and her journey back to health. It is a very emotional story, and I don't think there was a dry eye in the house. It was such a privilege to observe moments of affection between them throughout the weekend, their love for each other is palpable. It is rare in our culture to bear witness to such a long and happy marriage, and I feel blessed to have had the opportunity.

Whitley's meditation was magic. I've long been frustrated with my inability to meditate, and I think Sunday may help lead me to the path. I will always remember him saying, "You go on". Very powerful. Whitley, you should consider making meditation CD's!

Already planning next year's trip (even if Linda wasn't all that hopeful there would be a next year), can't wait to reconnect with my long lost family. I am so grateful to Whitley and Anne for gathering so many wonderful people together.
