sharon2 -- my theory is that the lakes are tilting southwards due to the ice melt in the northern areas of the globe. Because the ice is no longer pushing/holding down the crust in the northern areas of the globe -- the earth's northern crust is "springing up." As it springs upward, the northern crust becomes higher causing a tilt southwards of the land south of the "springing up" land. I imagine there are a variety of mechanisms involved in the movement. I dont think the earthquakes cause the tilt -- I think it is the tilting that causes the earthquakes. As the crust shifts it activates faults which are like (outlets for releasing pressure/energy). Having said that -- there may be much larger earthquakes as the process nears completion (or as the lakes reach the pivot point). Manmade activities and climate changes (in addition to the melting of the polar ice) probably contribute the actual timetable. The sad part is that these activities are probably being observed and measured by satellites -- but instead of us preparing for the "change" we are doing things like rebuilding areas that will likely end up under water no matter what mankind tries to do (not very cost effective). We are the ones we've been waiting for. Hopi Elders 2001. to be a rock and still to roll . . .

Steam Seen From Llaima Volcano, Chile Tuesday, 16 February 2010 05:04 Video surveillance confirms volcano is producing steam, gas and could be set to erupt, experts say. Images taken with video cameras installed around the Llaima Volcano verified emissions of steam and sometimes gas from the main crater. Llaima Volcano, one of the largest and most active volcanoes in Chile, is located 663 kilometers southeast of Santiago, the country’s capital. The volcanic alert level has been raised to Yellow Alert Level 3, with ongoing monitoring of the volcano for 24 hours a day. Representatives of Sernageomin, national service of Geology and Mining, suggest authorities section-off a four mile radius around the crater. A report from Sernageomin said the ways in which gas is released passively through various sectors of the crater allows it to balance the pressure conditions and the characteristic seismic activity. The report indicated there was fluid within the ducts of the volcano and intense volcanic activity, which could indicate Llaima Volcano is approaching a state of imbalance. The last major eruption occurred in 1994, but an eruption in January 2008 forced hundreds of villagers to evacuate the area with ash falling as far as Argentina. http://www.santiagotimes.cl/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=18260:s team-seen-from-llaima-volcano-&catid=1:other&Itemid=38 Energy-Creations.com

Blue, you have touched on something that I have been researching lately. Namely, the continued development of our planet which is attempting to shape itself into a more perfect sphere. That is, if such a thing is possible. We are sort of "egg-shaped" for lack of a better term. Condensing, if you will... The more I look into it the more I am convinced that Luna, our Moon, did indeed come from the Earth and more than likely so due to the impact of another celestrial body that slammed into us when that period of development to form the Solar System as we know it today was underway. Some things pushed up and some things pushed down as an immense chunk of our World was thrust into Space by extreme force because of the impact. We have been "healing" ever since. I may go into more detail about this in the future if there is enough interest concerning it. "...and the Lion roams..."

They are worried about a tsunami in the Pacific. Still unsure as to how bad it will be. I know some of you are in Australia. I wouldn't go fishing, swimming, or surfing on the east coast today. |

Tsunami in Hawaii threatens islands- US agency Feb 27 HONOLULU (Reuters) - Hawaii prepared to start evacuations ahead of a tsunami generated by a massive earthquake in Chile, a civil defense official on the U.S. island said on Saturday. It planned to sound civil defense sirens across the island state at 6 a.m. local time (11 a.m. EST) after the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said a tsunami was generated that could cause damage along the coasts of all the Hawaiian islands, "Get off the shore line. We are closing all the beaches and telling people to drive out of the area," said John Cummings, Oahu Civil Defense spokesman. Buses will patrol beaches and take people to parks in a voluntary process expected to last five hours. More than an hour before sirens were due to sound lines of cars snaked for blocks from gas stations in Honolulu. "Urgent action should be taken to protect lives and property," the Warning Center said in a bulletin. "All shores are at risk no matter which direction they face." The center has issued a Pacific-wide tsunami warning that included Hawaii and stretched across the ocean from South America to the Pacific Rim. Geophysicist Victor Sardina said the Hawaii-based center was urging all countries included in the warning to take the threat very seriously. "Everybody is under a warning because the wave, we know, is on its way. Everybody is at risk now," he said in a telephone interview. The warning follows a huge earthquake in Chile that killed at least 82 people and triggered tsunamis up and down the coast of the earthquake-prone country. The center estimates the first tsunami, which is a series of several waves in succession, will hit Hawaii at 11:19 a.m. Hawaii time (4:19 p.m. EST) in the town of Hilo on the Big Island of Hawaii, with waves in Honolulu at 11:52 a.m. Sardina said the Hawaiian islands could expect waves of six feet (two meters) in some places. Other estimates have been higher but he could not confirm those were likely. Sardina said the center was looking at Hilo Bay on Hawaii Island as a worst-case scenario right now. "The shape of the bay favors the waves gaining in height," he said in a telephone interview. He said California and Alaska could also be affected, but the impact on those coasts should be minimal. http://www.reuters.com/article/idUSTRE61Q1A720100227 Energy-Creations.com

Tokyo, Japan (CNN) -- Tens of thousands of residents began evacuating Sunday morning from coastal Japan in anticipation of a possible tsunami following Chile's 8.8-magnitude earthquake. The northern part of the main island was looking at the possibility of a tsunami at least 9 feet high, according to the Japan Meteorological Agency. Rail service was halted in coastal areas and residents were urged to evacuate low-lying areas of the island nation. The warning primarily affected fishing areas and tourist areas; major cities like Tokyo, which is inland, were not affected. Sunday's alert was Japan's first major tsunami warning in more than 15 years, the agency reported. A tsunami spawned by Chile's 1960 earthquake killed 140 people in Japan. On Saturday, tsunami warnings from Chile's temblor initially covered the entire Pacific region, but they were canceled less than 18 hours later except for Russia, Japan and the Philippines. The Philippines Institute of Volcanology and Seismology issued a Level-2 tsunami alert for the east coast of the Philippines. A Level-2 alert means people are advised to stay away from the shoreline; residents near coastal areas facing the Pacific Ocean are advised to go farther inland. Meanwhile, an official with the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said the island chain of Hawaii "dodged a bullet" after smaller-than-expected waves were reported. Coast Guard crews said they had found no significant damage to ports or waterways as a result of the tsunami. "There was no assessment of any damage in any county, which is quite remarkable," said Gov. Linda Lingle, who said witnesses had reported seeing "dramatic surges going on in the ocean." The only airport that was shut, the Hilo airport on Hawaii, reopened late in the afternoon. "If people have a confirmed reservation they can go to the airport now and they will be able to catch their flights," Lingle said. The center also canceled warnings for Chile, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Antarctica, Panama, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Pitcairn, Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala, French Polynesia, Mexico, the Cook Islands, Kiribati, Kermadec Island, Niue, New Zealand, Tonga, American Samoa, Jarvis Island, Wallis-Futuna, Tokelau, Fiji, Australia, Palmyra Island, Pojnston Island, Marshall Island, Midway Island, Wake Island, Tuvalu, Vanuatu, Howland-Baker, New Caledonia, Solomon Island, Nauru, Kosrae, Papua New Guinea, Pohnpei, Chuuk, Marcus Island, Indonesia, North Marianas, Guam, Yap, Belau, Philippines and Chinese Taipei. Earlier, Hawaiian residents had scrambled to stock up on water, gas and food as sirens pierced the early morning quiet across the islands ahead of the tsunami. Roads to beaches and other low-lying areas were closed and seaside hotels moved guests to higher ground. http://www.cnn.com/2010/WORLD/americas/02/27/chile.quake.hawaii/index.html?iref= allsearch Energy-Creations.com

i wonder what the correlation is between solar activity and earthquakes, as well. Also, some guy on C2C several nights back said something about Saturn being in some kind of line (above?) the areas where the earthquakes occurred when they occurred (Haiti and Chile). I just started paying attention to the proton density and speed of the solar wind. Higher proton density/higher wind speeds seem to have a full moon type effect on earth life forms. Most of my observations have been people but my pets seem to be affected, too (altho that cld be because of my mood). Perhaps after the weather warms I'll be able to notice more about how the wild animal population around here handles it. We are the ones we've been waiting for. There was a fellow (Stewart Swerdlow) on the Kevin Smith Show (kevinsmithshow.com) last night who said that the earths plates have created a huge pressure in the Pacific NW, ie. around Vancouver Island (Seattle area) all the way down to No. Calif., and that there may be a huge quake there soon. You can listen go to http://kevinsmithshow.com site and listen free tonight (Friday) only... press the "Listen Latest Show" button on the left. The fellow is a clairvoyant and was part of the Montauk Project, and he has a lot of very interesting info on other stuff too... whether you buy his story or not, it's fun to listen to. Hopefully it wont be us trying to bomb them outta there. I enjoy reading this thread and the information and connections people share here. I hope everyone keeps posting. Let's face it, we just don't know enough about what is really going on behind the scenes of HAARP, and other similar technologies. In fact, I would venture to guess that HAARP, it's existence so widely known, serves as a sort-of diversion from even more expansive and wide reaching types of things such as this. I would bet my life that HAARP is but the smallest fraction of the reality of what is going on. The truly profound and sinister things are things that we have never even heard of, and probably never will. Do I think that "they" use such technologies to try and affect the weather? Yes. Either that or they use it for some other highly secretive thing, and it just happens to trigger violent effects in the earth and atmosphere. Sonny: Do you think we were all created for a purpose? just to clarify....with any subject, i don't mean to come off as a debunker. i am an avid believer in the capabilities of haarp, ufo's, etc. but when something occurs, my left brain looks for a common sense/scientific reason. if i eliminate that, i go on to another possibility. but after studying the global map of past and present earthquakes, you begin to see a pattern related to the plates and ridges. i just don't think haarp focuses their technology on this. haarp was brought up when the huge december quake and tsunami hit indonesia. but it later came out (but was quickly quieted) that right before the quake, there was underwater mining/geographical activity in that area which i could see as triggering an already fragile fault. so, don't anyone take offense. just trying to see all the sides. sure you can trust the government....just ask an indian.

Some scientists are connecting an earthquake yesterday in Nebraska with the Chilean earthquakes. I heard about it on NPR on the way home today and noticed it on the Unknown Country news page as well. |
