susi, When my Grandson was in middle school, he did his science fair project on worldwide volcano eruptions. He kept data for over 30 days. When he began to analyze his data, I asked him to check the data against the phases of the Moon. Lo and behold, the most active clusters were during the full Moon. He had data that covered 2 full moons. Of course, his science teacher poo-pooed that finding...to me it was the most significant thing he found.

animalspirits, Gracie has been extremely restless the past few days. Can animals sense this stuff from as far away as central PA?!?!? Also, all the other dogs up and down the road have been antsy. Of course, we DID just have a full moon. Also, I've been noticing huge flocks of black crows flying from tree to tree and making huge rackets. I'm getting a scary visceral feeling that the West Coast might be in for the Big One! But there are dreams that cannot be, And there are storms we cannot weather ....

Montserrat volcano spews ash, residents wear masks By JILL LASTER (AP) – 1 day ago SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico — Rock falls from a spewing volcano stirred up more volcanic ash Friday on the tiny Caribbean island of Montserrat, which lost half its population after a devastating eruption last decade. Dozens of small earthquakes accompanied ash plumes that have billowed up 20,000 feet (6,000 meters) this week, prompting officials to distribute masks to residents, said James White Jr., acting director of the Disaster Management Coordination Agency. A thin layer of volcanic residue now coats several northwestern towns, and ashfall — which can cause respiratory problems and tiny scratches on the eyes — is expected to continue, said Paul Cole, director of the Montserrat Volcano Observatory. Cole said the Soufriere Hills volcano, which stirred to life Sunday for the first time in 10 months, may be creating a new lava dome, a mound of cooled lava that forms at the volcano's opening. It would be at least the fifth time that has occurred since the volcano became active in 1995. "There aren't any ways to tell how long it will stay active, but it's been going for 14 years on and off, so my guess is that it will continue doing what it's been doing," Cole said. In 1997, a volcanic eruption killed 19 people and buried much of the island, including its former capital, Plymouth, which is now abandoned. Half the British territory's 12,000 inhabitants left. Yellowstone hit by swarm of earthquakes "Yellowstone National Park has been rattled by more than 250 earthquakes in the past two days following a period of 11 months of quiet seismic activity in the park. The quakes have been gaining strength, with a 3.1 tremor recorded at 11:03 a.m. today. A 2.9 quake was recorded at 12:38 p.m. Prof. Robert B. Smith, a geophysicist at the University of Utah and one of the leading experts on earthquake and volcanic activity at Yellowstone, said that the activity is a "notable swarm." http://www.denverpost.com |

I'm guessing everyone knows that Yellowstone is actually the site of a huge ancient super-volcano. Meditate on cooling the sub-surface. I certainly hope this is not the beginning of something big. Still get a little paranoid though. Though I only recently (2 days ago) started keeping up with earthquakes, I did notice that Yellowstone's quakes were increasing in magnitude. Does anyone know how the animals that live in Yellowstone are acting? That is what one needs to watch...when they start either leaving or behaving strangely, then something is going to happen. Understand that all things are sacred--yet nothing is sacred. ~Yotee Coyote

Wyoming briefs Quake swarm shakes Yellowstone YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK -- A moderate swarm of earthquakes is rattling Yellowstone National Park in what researchers at the University of Utah say is a common event. Jamie Farrell is a doctoral student with the university in Salt Lake City. He said the earthquake swarm started Sunday night and that more than 200 had been counted by 9 a.m. Monday. The swarm is centered about 10 miles northwest of Old Faithful. The largest of the quakes was magnitude 2.7. There has been one report of an earthquake being felt in the park. Farrell said researchers have identified 79 earthquake swarms at Yellowstone since 1995. He said the swarms generally last from a few days to weeks but sometimes last for months. http://www.trib.com/news/state-and-regional/article_66a65dfc-4907-57c2-96a7-c627 a325a179.html Energy-Creations.com

Don't know what's going on with disappearing posts (or portions of posts), but you can go into your profile and set your preferences to send you emails of posts you want to keep. That would be a good, as is the idea of saving them in Word or Notepad or somethin'. "In the end, only kindness matters."

Thank you, Anna!!!! Serendipity..... I found an essay on her site there, that relates directly (and agrees completely) with a post I made just few minutes (or so) ago, on the "Best Way To Beat Depression" thread. I will now go back over there, and post a link to her essay.

PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti — A powerful new earthquake struck Haiti on Wednesday, shaking rubble from damaged buildings and sending screaming people running into the streets only eight days after the country's capital was devastated by an apocalyptic quake. The magnitude-6.1 temblor was the largest aftershock yet to the Jan. 12 quake. The extent of additional damage or injuries was not immediately clear. Wails of terror rose from frightened survivors as the earth shuddered at 6:03 a.m. U.S. soldiers and tent city refugees alike raced for open ground, and clouds of dust rose in the capital. The U.S. Geological Survey said the quake was centered about 35 miles (56 kilometers) northwest of Port-au-Prince and was 13.7 miles (22 kilometers) below the surface. sure you can trust the government....just ask an indian.

I read her tripod stuff, smart insights to reincarnation. Nothing on the Haiti thing...I'm sure she mustve been wigging out. I recall a disscussion we had about her physical nerve pain from the impending tremors. Good Luck to Krystal where ever she may be. "Don't take life to seriously;no one gets out alive."

west of Chicago. Epicenter near where I live. It woke my family up. http://www.dailyherald.com/story/?id=358099 I remember about twenty years ago there was one, and I had no idea that Illinois had earthquakes. I was on my bed, leaning against the wall and reading a comic book when the house started to shake. I remember walking downstairs to see my dad's face: a look of incredulity. He had no idea about earthquakes, either! He thought he was having a heart attack. Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing, there is a field. I will meet you there. -Rumi

I felt it this morning. I thought it was a snow plow going by at first, but then realized it would have to be a monster snow plow to shake the whole house like that. There are some pretty big faults that run through Illinois and Missouri if I'm not mistaken. |

I have a question, while living in Los Angeles I experienced a few earthquakes and never heard a sound associated with a quake. I was reading up on the quake that rattled Illinois, people stated that it sounded like a sonic boom, and even like a plane was going down. Im curious about the sound because I know they generate low rumbles, but this was obviously LOUD! Time is of the essence, bless someone with the warmth of your presence. -Me-

Yes, I heard it. It sounded like a low rumble from where I was at, about 60 miles from the epicenter. It's not the first earthquake I've felt (not from here), but it's the first I've heard. |

Cayce said that the Great Lakes are tipping southward and will empty into the Gulf of Mexico via the Mississippi. We are the ones we've been waiting for. Hopi Elders 2001. to be a rock and still to roll . . .

True blue. There used to be a huge gulf where the Mississippi is now. Cayce also stated that the east coast was the lowlands of Atlantis. I think the current map & timelines for the continental plate theory need to be re-evaluated. |

If the lakes are tipping -- i think the closer one gets to the pivot point -- the faster it goes. It could explain the unruliness of the Mississippi River as well. man in, i theorize that Atlantis broke up due to the growth/emergence (?) of the mid-Atlantic ridge. I think Cayce said the Northern parts of Atlantis broke up first -- and since a ridge creates land pushing the land on either side further and further apart -- it makes sense that our east coast cld be remnants of Atlantis lowlands. I wonder if the collision of continents (western Atlantis/eastern NorthAmerica) is what caused the rise of the Appalacian and other eastcoast mtn ridges. We are the ones we've been waiting for. Hopi Elders 2001. to be a rock and still to roll . . .

Blue, I remember reading about Cayce saying the Great Lakes would empty into the Mississippi. I can't figure out how that would work? The earth is round! There is gravity to hold things down! I can't wrap my head around that scenario! "Thought is a Creative Force!"
